I don't think it's a big deal. I messed around with some cheap stuff someone gave me last year when she decided to get herself banned, and it was fun. But it ended there, and that's it. To ostricize patrons of the board we know (lol?) are good people becuase their names are on a list is pretty ignorant.

The sad thing about this is people will and already have started this bullshit. We all have things that we do that are not right.

-Some people find pleasure in drugs to escape real problems or relieve a situation.

-Some people go to alcohol.

-Some people use tobacco to relieve stress, etc.

-Some people cheat for their better enjoyment.

-Some people find flaws in others and dig in, like they're perfect beings, to mask their own problems. (RING ANY BELLS PEOPLE?)

They all hurt others or have a chance to hurt others, all the same. However, does that really make us "scum", as some people like to call people around here who cheat. Each and every individual has their own problems and ways to relieve them. So what you cheated. Does that really make you "scum" or not worth befriending? No, it shows you're human just like everyone else. Tell those fuckers to take a hike and enjoy your stay man. If you're ousted by anyone, they're the ones not worth your friendship or time. Hell, they have a bigger problem than you more than likely.

I knew you man when you were just commin' up on your SAM. You were a good dude and I had fun. If you're anything at all like you use to be, you're pretty far from a bad person.
 
Unfortunately, Taj's page (?) with the list isn't working for me--I only get a black screen with the "Kira is justice" at the top. (Lol, ironic given I just watched the Death Note live action movies yesterday.)

Still, it does not dilute the epic.

To those trying to save face and claim they no longer use ffxi-app..
What reason is there for anyone to truly trust you when you say you dont use it or will not use it later?
You can try and say " if you trust me and look at ect ect you would realize I dont use it anymore" but in reality everyone already trusted you to not be using it WHILE you were using that bot so how can anyone ever be truly sure?
The answer is we cant. There is no real way to ever realistically trust anyone on that list to not cheat again and to be cheating as they read this post.
Only an idiot trusts a person to not repeatedly comit a crime after catching them red handed without any form of punishment being given.

Ok here's the problem with trust concerning online issues. You can't trust anything anyone says because it's over a medium where you can't see said person. If ppl in the this thread said they never hacked or etc, why should I believe him or her? Me, myself, I like to trust people and give ppl second chances. I'm not trying to defend anyone, I'm just calling it the way i see it. I'm in perse... if i said i hacked and have stopped, would you believe me? I doubt. If i said I've never hacked ever, would you believe me? You have nothing to go on except trust in either situation.

What would be the point of finding another program that lets you claim monsters btw if the problem isn't based on the program but your hardware. If you have a crappy computer and playing ffxi on it... No program is gonna let you claim a monster. The monster has to load up into your game to have a chance to claim it; otherwise it's not 'there.' I have a Radeon x700 vid card with 1.5 GB of ram (at the time of purchase cost me 300~ USD). My question is this... are you gonna spend that much money just to make your hack program work?

I remember times when ppl who don't hacked claimed HNMs 2 days in a row. And first thing people think of when it's not their lsmate who claimed 2 days in a row if you're not there is 'H4CKS!!!'

People are saying pessimistic things as, well if they tried to use an app and it didn't work, well they may go try to find another application that does. Well have you thought about if that app didn't work, you're not gonna try to find another one b/c you expect the same issue? Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.

No one on that list will probably be banned. Be watched carefully? Yes. Be banned on the spot... No. Think people. It's already hard enough to get rid of RMTs when you tell them that 'x' person is an rmt. It's not like a GM is just gonna come out and make them disappear on the spot.

For the people who are on the list and are still (up to this point in time) using the application to benefit themselves, you are the true idiots.

Trust has to start somewhere in an online community. If you don't have that trust then you're basically playing this game by yourself.

Still curious on this. I think I read that this list isn't an entire list, but only for a certain time period.

Anyway, with the ground that's shaking with this controversy, I think now might be the time to get back into endgame (emphasis on might).

If any members of said 'hacking' shells are fed up with the horse-shit cheating that they know has been going on, give it up, send me a PM...lets see what we can come up with...I've been saddened by seeing such quality people led by such complete idiots...

I've always compared this to the steroid controversy in baseball. Barry Bonds would probably have been a hall of fame caliber player without steriods, but he decided to do it anyway. Because of this, he has to live with his decisions.

Same way here. Regardless of what 'benefit' you received from using the hacks, they are/were hacks used to enhance gameplay beyond the normal capacity of the gaming environment.

the part that really makes me lol... chronicles isn't on the list... all the bullshit and drama, accusations and persecution.... and chron wasn't even on "teh h4x list." not seeing any apologies in the near future but if this list is aparently ultimate proof of hack or not hacks... start eating your words.

This is kinda off topic, but when I clicked the link to where it details what's on FFXIapp, I almost punched a wall: Japanese to English translator. Just WTF. I'd get this program for this option ALONE. Do you know how much this would open up the game and break down the walls if this was implemented? This kind of stuff should have been in the game since day friggin ONE!

I'm surprised that something like this is available to be made ingame and shocked at the fact that it took some outside programmer to create/implement something so useful, obvious and most importantly NOT A CHEAT. SE has no reason for not putting this into the game from the start. This gives no one an advantage over anyone else and I'm truly pissed that we havent seen anything like this ever done for this game. Shit, if someone else was able to do it, why not the devs to this game! Was anyone else as shocked/annoyed at the fact that we have the ablility to talk to our JP friends in realtime without having to <Meat> <Jerkin> around with the auto-translate since we dont obviously have to?

/fume off.
 
Well figured buying that thing over a year ago might go back to bite me. Ya that list is legit I did buy ffxiapp. Got bored one day Gp pointed me in its direction tried it out, wanted to see how it felt to run really fast. Got suspended, used it for about a month maybe two before suspension haven't touched it sense. I know people won't believe me but I'm not about to waste 3 years of work on my character to lose it to run fast. But I guess have your fun.

I find it funny that not even a week ago, people were rather dismayed at Taj's recent behavior having just hacked several accounts for no reason other than he could. Now this week he's hacking for divine justice in the absurd name of Kira? That's a joke. I'm sure he has good intentions or rather, he just wants redemption... and all the attention like a complete douche.

And why do I find it rather funny that all these Kaizen members are shaking their fingers in every direction, but their own? I guess your shit (Agris? Among others) don't stink?
