I think it's time people realize that when you add "To my knowledge" to a claim, what it does is just take out any credibility to what you just said. It's basically saying "I can assure you this LS never botted, keeping in mind I wasn't in their living room nor had I access to video feed to confirm this assumption, therefore I do not have a freakin clue really." Either you do know or you don't.

Here's a clue on why choc digging is boring: BECAUSE PEOPLE BOT THE SHIT OUT OF IT, like you. I'm sure it was nice for you but don't try to make it sound like it's nothing, you cheated, end of story. I'm sure I would have appreciated doing something else in my 12-14 months of leveling choc digging, getting aquainted with the constant questionning of wether or not I should shoot myself out of boredom. But I didn't, I suck it up and did it the legit way.

You on the other hand, are part of those who ruined choc digging for legit players. In this regards, you aren't any better then RMTs who do the same thing. And now you got caught, karma's a bitch. Don't brush it off like it's nothing, cheater.

Yup, just felt like saying stuff to get my main thought out in one post, since I had to reply for myself anyways lol (I think 1 person mentioned it though). I'm not the type to skirt around the issue and pretend like "the list is lying!" or stay clear of a thread.
 
This is true, but just felt I needed to get that in B4 things get said, or the LS in general becomes in question. Not that it was defensive, but the thread was/is well on it's way to become a debacle for many people.

PS: I did check, and Dave was the first to bring up Imperial at least my post was nice ^^; and based on crazy jibbering and ranting lol

Well I provided empirical evidence that we don't bot (we don't claim), and what I was trying to get across with that line is that no one has a clue, every member of every shell can only say "to my knowledge" to if they bot or not.

I mean this in the best possible way, But what I meant in my post was this, based upon the so called "sucess" of Imperial as a HNM shell, if they were using a program to help claim a king, don't you think they would have more claims under their belt? Seems like if I were to use a program that only allowed 2/43 claim on Fafnir, I'd either 1) get a new program or 2) revise the current one, because hey it's obiously failing.

So b4 you question my credibity and flame bait, realize I dont know that he didn't (Although evidence would suggest otherwise) and based upon the standing core of the players in the shell, I KNOW for a fact that some of them wouldn't allow themselves to gain from cheating over other play.

So, again..."To my knowledge" that list of people is credible, but who knows. Only the people using the APP's themselves.

And BTW "To my knowledge" is an expression, meaning "unless I am mistaken" That doesn't kill the credibilty of the entire post, just means take it w/ a grain of salt. Stop being anal retentive and take the post for what it is. My opinion and defense of friends, not excuses.

not claiming != not botting

botting isn't the only form of cheating anyway, and your shell benefits from any method of cheating its members may be doing outside the linkshell to make themselves stronger players, like cheating to make gil for gear, etc.

Honestly, theres really no way for you to know what any of your LS people do or don't do with programs.

They are good people. And affiliation shouldn't be sunned upon, especially when the app wasn't to used to give the LS an advantage. How many times have Kings popped claimed? When was the last time it was belonged Imperial? I recall many times a king would pop claimed and all of the LS saying WTF??? The credibiliy of this LS shouldn't be in jepordy based upon a list alone, considering the evidence doesn't support it.

Lawl there are more hacks than FFXIapp. So basically they're clean of FFXIapp, but what about the other ones?

You also can't be 100% positive unless you're playing the character and know for a fact you aren't running any cheats. Otherwise you can only be 99.9% sure that they aren't cheating.
 
Pretty obvious the list is legit, don't think theres any real question to that. What do you guys want to hear? That the piece of shit program turned me from a bad claimer to a claiming machine? That I made millions of gil with it and flee hacked my way around the entire game?

Sorry, but none of that happened. The thing was a piece of shit that never helped me claim a damn thing. I never fished, nearly all of my gil is from Ls pay outs, and flee hacking is about the dumbest thing you could do to get yourself banned.

If anything, you should be laughing at me for pissing away $20 on this because THAT is honestly the dumbest thing about this whole thing.

Why did I do it? Because I wanted to know what this shit was all about, but too much of an idiot to just DL some hacked version. You can tear me apart all you want, but if you think I actually benefited from this...well lol, you musta never seen this craptastic program and my piece of shit PC in action.

I tried it, many times. I camped alot in DA. Think it worked? Hell no, only thing it did was lag me to high hell and make me regret lighting my money on fire. It lagged me so bad, the only claim I ever got was when I stopped using the fucking thing and everyone else was invisible. (Adaman for you non campers) That was the only situation where if everything was set to low and nothing else except FFXI (not app.) on my PC was running could I see a rarely yellow HNM. I still dont know what a yellow Nidhogg looks like.

Why should he stop? Members of Perseverance and Integral are both listed there along with other shells who don't bask in center stage. And you are just going to sit there and not even acknowledge it? I mean seriously Crosis; how does it feel to finally have the proof that all those claims your LS lost were because of the hackers exposed tonight? Think of the countless hours you wasted in the Dragon's Aery all because of them.

This is all about cause and effect kids. The dust is still settling on this precious little bombshell dropped for all to see. But now is where it gets interesting; if you stop and listen very carefully you are going to hear many whispers behind closed doors. All the major HNM linkshells who have just been exposed are trying to piece together a defense to walk away with some dignity. (Good luck Chemira on that one!)

I propose that somebody keeps a post listing all of the LSs that swore up and down the river that they were hack free. Basically we need to keep track of their thoughts on the matter. Cameo interviews from LS leaders in denial will certainly add more pieces of flair to this scandal than all of Nazi Germany put together.

It is really disgusting at times with the amount of crap pumped out all for some colored pixels. The other day I saw a post about Soranohi and that was an absolutely brilliant collection of screenshots. You can see people who now hate each other working together. My how we have grown right? What happened to the good ole days where people from multiple LSs laughed
about the same stories? Perfectangel dinging her head on the stove. Kabrina's flavor of the week. And who remembers the BBH Salute? (I still have no idea why they all congregated on those steps in Lower Jueno.) Guess just 2 things about all this BS should be stated:

1) If you stood before your ingame rival in RL you would hospitable. Strip away the internet and nobody is all that and a bag of chips. (Well except for dirty little taru BRDs…preferably the Latino variety.)

2) Do you have your experiences in FFXI on your resume? If you don't; then you realize it is just a game. (That goes double for you Neophytal and your blog!)

Anyways; Perseverance and Integral...welcome to the hallowed halls of LS hacking infamy. I am sure the ghosts of Outerheaven will greet you with rattling chains. (By the way Kalendor and Farys, please bring some of those nifty French pastries to the welcoming banquet. Remember how both of you made that huge stink about OH and left? Odd how both of you jumped from one LS that hacked to another that did the exact same thing. Reminds me of that old expression where the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.)

Anyways; post of the year material. Somebody please sticky this topic or at least have somebody resurrect it at least once a month so we don't forget.

P.S. Where is the cocky Zoolander now? How humble you are to have posted finally to offer up some defense. But I think the post you should really do is offer an apology to your LS for what you just made Perseverance look like. Granted it is none of my business or the rest of the server; but indulge us as I am feeling needy. Let us see the rest of the leaders offer up some kind of defense on your behalf. I want to see Bjornar either giving you a high five or the cold shoulder for inflicting a permanent blemish on his LS's name in this topic.

P.P.S. I also insist that Vang and Kinkerbelle be given temporary access to at least be able to offer some input. Free speech is still alive and well right?

OK. ppl who bought the program in hopes to claim stuff lost their money... they 'tried' to cheat. But what happened... it backfired on them and they lost almost 2 months of ffxi money. So yes... you may see ppl on that list that are in endgame shells or go camp hnms. But if your computer can't load up the monster or etc, then what's the use of the program. Unless you got a godly computer (since it's been said that the program eats up a TON of resources, so much that it's not even worth using)... claiming HNMs is being done with skill or changing dat files probably. Lord knows when i go camp faf or etc... i pray just to 'see' it pop yellow. You know what i get when something tries to pop... i can hear my processor working like crazy... and 2400+ Receiving and then when the lag spike is over.. the HNM has popped and is claimed.

Now taking what ppl have said.. what are the only 'useful' things from the program that worked? fishing and choco digging and flee hacking? well those can be easily seen. Find evidence of ppl doing those things and ban them because that's the best evidence you'll get. And like i said way earlier (i think, not bothernig to check), there's probably a lot of ppl like Zoo who bought the thing in hopes of positive results back in 2006 or earlier but it failed and just stopped using it within the next month after purchase. What ya need to worry about are the ppl who are buying/downloading the program NOW.

I could a be fool for saying this but i think for crowded areas like DA for camping faf... that no one is using a hack program unless they have some ungodly computer with a crazy amount of ram.
