Its not like we're going to magically get that time back if we continue with these strings of (somewhat baseless) accusations. We'd still be wasting time in Aery whenever we lose a claim regardless of whether a bot was used or not. Each of these shells aren't going around policing the other shell either and most of us don't have anything to prove as a LS. Its more eye opening seeing individual names up there rather than saying anything about shells as a whole. Whether or not shells choose to do anything about it is their own business.

Go ahead and vent about your grudges, but don't act like you're doing it in the interest of others.
 
That "blemish" has been on pers for a pretty good while now, everyones favorite blitz ring War has been known to hack for a pretty long time. That same blemish has been on integral too. It just makes me lol that Zoo and Nikky are on that list, after their seemingly upstandedness (word?) in the community. Just shows you never really know someone.

Its funny to see people get busted hacking, its even funnier when they get busted for hacking that they paid real money for. I'd put this on an even lower scummy level than buying gil. Weather or not you used it. "Hey guys, i bought a really small ammount of gil a really long time ago, but its still sitting around and i haven't used it yet. Thats okay, right?"

I'd say "yes." I don't believe in making people pay an eternity for their crimes. That kind of uber-Christian bullshit is for chaotic vigilantes for Taj.

Chronic gilbuyers -- yes, a problem. 100k five years ago? For shame, but I'm not going to hold it against an otherwise upstanding player for always and forever.

This is all about cause and effect kids. The dust is still settling on this precious little bombshell dropped for all to see. But now is where it gets interesting; if you stop and listen very carefully you are going to hear many whispers behind closed doors. All the major HNM linkshells who have just been exposed are trying to piece together a defense to walk away with some dignity. (Good luck Chemira on that one!)

I propose that somebody keeps a post listing all of the LSs that swore up and down the river that they were hack free. Basically we need to keep track of their thoughts on the matter. Cameo interviews from LS leaders in denial will certainly add more pieces of flair to this scandal than all of Nazi Germany put together.

It is really disgusting at times with the amount of crap pumped out all for some colored pixels. The other day I saw a post about Soranohi and that was an absolutely brilliant collection of screenshots. You can see people who now hate each other working together. My how we have grown right? What happened to the good ole days where people from multiple LSs laughed
about the same stories? Perfectangel dinging her head on the stove. Kabrina's flavor of the week. And who remembers the BBH Salute? (I still have no idea why they all congregated on those steps in Lower Jueno.) Guess just 2 things about all this BS should be stated:

1) If you stood before your ingame rival in RL you would hospitable. Strip away the internet and nobody is all that and a bag of chips. (Well except for dirty little taru BRDs…preferably the Latino variety.)

2) Do you have your experiences in FFXI on your resume? If you don't; then you realize it is just a game. (That goes double for you Neophytal and your blog!)

Anyways; Perseverance and Integral...welcome to the hallowed halls of LS hacking infamy. I am sure the ghosts of Outerheaven will greet you with rattling chains. (By the way Kalendor and Farys, please bring some of those nifty French pastries to the welcoming banquet. Remember how both of you made that huge stink about OH and left? Odd how both of you jumped from one LS that hacked to another that did the exact same thing. Reminds me of that old expression where the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.)

Anyways; post of the year material. Somebody please sticky this topic or at least have somebody resurrect it at least once a month so we don't forget.

P.S. Where is the cocky Zoolander now? How humble you are to have posted finally to offer up some defense. But I think the post you should really do is offer an apology to your LS for what you just made Perseverance look like. Granted it is none of my business or the rest of the server; but indulge us as I am feeling needy. Let us see the rest of the leaders offer up some kind of defense on your behalf. I want to see Bjornar either giving you a high five or the cold shoulder for inflicting a permanent blemish on his LS's name in this topic.

P.P.S. I also insist that Vang and Kinkerbelle be given temporary access to at least be able to offer some input. Free speech is still alive and well right?

The "blemish" as you put it has been on just about every endgame shell on this server at one time or another.

Botting is like gilbuying. Everyone knows someone that's bought gil (whether you realize it or not). Everyone knows someone that's botted or used a program to assist them in some other fashion. I'm not especially fond of that fact, but it's pretty much indisputable.

So yes, there are people in every single endgame linkshell that have, at some point or another, run a bot or a hack.

I think it's moderately sad and depressing and that the people who did so should consider some measure of atonement, but I doubt that will happen. Most of them would deny it right up until, well, someone hacked a site and put their name on the web for everyone to see.

And like i said way earlier (i think, not bothernig to check), there's probably a lot of ppl like Zoo who bought the thing in hopes of positive results back in 2006 or earlier but it failed and just stopped using it within the next month after purchase. What ya need to worry about are the ppl who are buying/downloading the program NOW.

I could a be fool for saying this but i think for crowded areas like DA for camping faf... that no one is using a hack program unless they have some ungodly computer with a crazy amount of ram.

What's to say when this program didn't work they didn't go out and buy/pirate one that did? This is the gateway drug of hacks, they get much better beyond this.

Just because this particular program sucked for people like Zoolander and Daveman, doesn't mean that they haven't moved on and tried others lol.

Your whole post discredits the program and then you want us to worry about future users of it? I know you mean well by your post but you come off delusional and naive.

Any self-respecting LS would boot these hackers.

Anyway, FFXI-APP = all in 1 hack and what uzor said is true, You cannot share the software, it keep track on who using it (maybe by IP, idk...) so the author is sure to make profit out of it. is pretty sad people hack MMO...

Well now we know who cheating and not using FFXI-APP :P

btw, you can't get the software unless you pay it first using paypal, once pay they will e-mail you the software

Um, it authenticates by connecting to their server and cross refrences who you are with their database. And just because peoples names are not on this list doesn't mean they don't cheat.

It's not that hard to write some of these programs..

Never said it was a good decision, even if I never was caught it was a bad one. But, it was a mistake I made well over a year ago. Pretty much all points made against me are valid. I'm not trying to defend anything, just decided it would be spinless to be a little chicken shit and not man up, so I said my piece.

If it makes me a bad sam, a bad nin, a bad war, or a bad person in anyones eyes, I guess thats their right. But in my eyes, its a small moment of weakness that hardly defines my FFXI career or myself as a person. Its just a small blip on my personal radar, but I guess it will define me in the eyes of others. But alas, it is my own doing, and theres no one else to blame.

(Btw, I make a killing delivering pizzas, Gainesville is a big college town that loves their pizza^^)
