Some good news for hnm

Well this good to hear. But like they said there are still other bots out there. I lol'd about ls's paying 3000$ for those bots. 3000$ I could buy many things irl that I need. Peeps with money always seem to find a shortcut no matter what it is.

I still dream of SE changing the ToS, putting a wee bit of spyware in the next update, and handing out mass bannings the day after.
 
Wow the level of stupidity in BlueGartr astounds me, my brain hurts from just reading the first page (couldnt even finish it). But yeah, dont think this will do too much to stop botting since theres other programs out there.
 
FFXI-App is was one of the most widely used, though.
 
Right, it'll stem the use of bots to a large extent, but lazy asses like certain HNM shells will always try to find a way, sometimes theyre successful, sometimes theyre not.



Edit: Awww seems that pissed someone off XD, I stand by my statement tho, lazy ass HNM shells.

I got the hint but that won't stop them. They're already pretty open about botting so them finding a new isn't going to slow them down. Unless SE starts attacking the botting sites hard this one little bump won't stop botters at all.

Or Maury is tired of updating a service that is marketed around a one-time payment. Even with the huge profit he made, he had to keep the server up and running 24/7. After a majority of people have purchased it and there are only a small amount of future customers left over, (FFXI is old, people quit) would you really want to keep working on it?

People are saying SE has nothing to do with this and I really have to agree with them.

It's conceivable, but I don't buy it.

This situation kinda screams "deal" to me. As in, SE contacts and says "We won't sue the life out of you for using the ffxi name in your program that you sold, and you will, in return, shut down all your services that affect us, including the ones that we probably couldn't do anything about."
 
Apparently he's been under the gun for three months and SE made it official. I think the reason those people assume that is because there's an incredibly similar bot being sold, some even saying it's the same guy under a new name. I know that's bull, because the similar bot has been around for quite a long time as well, even while FFXI App and NASA were running. The funny part is the registration server is flooded right now. lol

That also makes sense, considering he removed any FFXI related images and text from his now "MMO-App" webpage.
 
I think the saddest thing in that thread was someone complaining that they were justified in botting in part because SE made monsters that have to be stunned.

Because god knows it's hard to stun Gates of Hades.

Oh wait.

It's not hard at all.

Now, Dissipation, that can be challenging at times.

Yeah, that pic made my day the first time I saw it lol.

Almost as good as watching the people who apparently need shit like that to stun. I've seen several cases of people camping Cerb/Khim en masse while we were busy with other things, getting lucky on a pop, then dropping like FLIES because they stun on top of each other.

How hard is it to put together a stun order, even? ><
 
End Of Bots = Good fun gaming for the rest of us :D Now we can put some more skill into claiming instead of being reliant on an outside application, then causing drama cause your bot wasnt the fastest <.<

jeez i remember the old days of AC tools, i guess things changed considerably from back when I first played.
