Just to let you know what happens when a post gets reported:
A thread is created in a "Reported Posts" forum.
The subject of the thread is "Reported Post in: [thread title here]". The thread starter is the user who reported the post.
It contains a link to the thread, it contains a link to the original post, and who posted it. It contains a full quote of the reported post (so that even if the OP changes the post, the reported post is still the original), and in contains the reason why it was reported by the one who reported it.
The mods for that specific forum and I can then take action on the reported posts. Often that action is to "delete" the post. The reason why delete is in quotes is that post are not really deleted. They are moved to a "Recycle Bin" forum where they are archived out of the public view.
That way a record of the post remains and if access restriction action against a user needs to be taken there is a reference as to why such action was required.
Of course this system depends on QCDN members using it responsibly. If the "Reported Post" forum is flooded with reports about stuff that's not worth reporting, then even an army of mods would have a hard time to look through it.
So, report if you feel that a post is in violating the
QCDN Community Standards, then by all means, report it.
Please do understand that it is not practical to provide feedback to the reporter as to what action, if any, has been taken. Obviously you will see if the post is "deleted". If you feel that no action was taken, you are free to follow up with me. Please do include a suggestion as to what you think should be done if you do choose to PM me about it. Thanks.
