Songs That Make You Punch Babies (Not literally)

Whoever rerecorded Tom Cochrane's "Life Is A Highway".

Sounds like the Big & Rich guys. I'll kill them, you dont remake that song to sound like that...

See "Fake-ass Country" - but I liked the remake lol >.>

Yeah, let me add to "fake ass country" the trend to "remake" pop songs country style. Write your own songs and stop twanging up "I Do" and "To Make You Feel My Love." Johnny Cash was cool enough but for the love of f*ck was a remake of NIN "Hurt" really necessary? >.<

Oh wait wait wait.

Johnny Cash was necessary. That song really applied to his life and made a lot of sense for him. He asked Trent if he could do it (its actually a few years old) and Trent was like 'ZOMG YOU WANT TO REMAKE -MY- SONG!? OKAY!!' and he's still all honored and fanboy about it. And surprisingly not in the 'I dont care' type of way he usually does. I saw a live interview about it and he was really humbled when speaking about Cash. I like the way it sounds, personally.

I know what you mean about it applying to his life, and imitation is the highest form of flattery for sure. But still, it's very seldom the remake is better than the original. I have respect for a song having personal meaning, but I think if you're going to redo it, it better be phenominal. And the great majority of them aren't.

Right now that horrible "I kissed a girl" song makes me want to burn villages down.

Basically any time I sit in my brother's car and listen to his music. It's music I actually LIKE (Tool, APC, etc.) but he plays his music SO LOUD, MY BRAIN IMPLODES AND COMES OUT MY ELBOW. It's rediculous, then he tries to carry on conversations by literallY YELLING to eachother from a foot away. It's just obscene lol

I like my music pretty much as loud as possible, I don't try to talk to anyone when it's that loud though ><

I think if you're going to redo a song it should be different. Not necessarily better or worse, but in your own style. I don't think Cash intended to make a song that NIN fans would like, but that Cash fans would like. And I think he did a really good job.

IN THIS CLUB

... That and Dem Franchise Boys/any rap about clothes/jeans whatever.

Lip gloss by Lil mama: Can't stand that song. Who cares about lip gloss.

Any emo band: Can't stand the constant whining and the style of music is just overall annoying.

Anything done by lil wayne. He just rants in that annoying cackling voice in most of his songs that i've heard, plus they play his songs waaaaay to much on the radio around here.

Metallica is good but the stations around here play the same old songs over and over for years and years and still do today. Sandman, unforgiven, one, nothing else matters. I could care less if I ever hear those four songs again. I don't hate them, I'm just sick of hearing them.

Smashing Pumpkins... When the name of the band sounds more entertaining than actually listening to the band, we have a situation.

Not gonna lie, I'm on a Katy Perry fix right now.

I can stand pretty much anything except mainstream rap.

I'm pretty sure you do nothing but find random shit on the internet on a daily basis...

And that's why I love you XD
