I don't know if this is true or not... but I do know one thing, if they were crazy enough motherfuckers to actually do this, well.. that's just badass.

Everything we want in a good party?

Decapitated goats? Check!
Topless girls feeding you grapes? Check!

YAY! UMD Demo of God of War <3

Shweet! The only other thing I've ever received for free from a video game company via Internet is some Tales of Symphonia trading cards.

Wth is wrong with Sony? This is madness!

Oddly related, due to the Greek nature of God of War.

Also, go Sony for not giving a fuck about PETA.

I'm sorry but I don't see what this statement has to do with anything, theres a big difference between eating a dead animal and using it for a centre piece at a dinner party.

PS: I'm not saying the party for the most part wasn't cool, the tits and grapes and drinks are awesome but really, they should of just roasted pig or something that everyone was actually going to eat. I consume meat but wouldn't wear fur, why? People need to eat but people don't need to be wearing 40 minks. I think it was a stupid PR stunt especially after the flack they've been taking in their marketing lately. Treating a decapitated animal like a garnish is just stupid.

was it really a dead animal? cause that'd be more expensive than using a fake.

They used a real goat. The image on the link is pixelated to hide the head hanging by a thin strip of flesh.

And Sabs, I was mocking PETA because of their over the top treatment of every situation regarding the possibility of an animal being harmed. I mean hell, all the disclaimers that need to be put on movies "No horses were injured in the making of this film" bullshit.

I wouldn't decap a poor goat for show, if I intended to eat it, I wouldn't go so far before it was dead either. This happened on European soil though, so what happens there really cannot be justified by American morals. Europe has their own level of acceptance for that kind of thing. America couldn't even get away with the topless women all about at a press attended event.

It was a stunt, and a bad gamble on their part. It was but a single goat, a race not exactly going extinct from the rampant slaughtering of them, so I don't see this as a huge issue. A formal apology was given if I read the article right, and the ads were recalled, which is about as much as Sony can do to make up for their severe mistake.

ps. Perhaps we should hold a topless toga party sometime. But only if Sabs comes.

I'm sure the goat was humanly killed, whatever.

Animal rights aside, that is the coolest anything-release I have ever heard of. They literally brought parts of that game to life to throw a party. That's awesome.

Am i the only person thinking sony knows how to throw a party? It's tasteless as hell but that's what makes it so fun :P

But yeah like Taurothar said, different views with me being a crazy brit and all.

Besides tbh I'd be willing to bet that this publicity works out positively for game sales.

I thought it was an awesome idea for a party. I think it would be sweet as hell to go to somethign like that.

Oh hell yeah I'd get drunk, win the offal eating contest then probably be sick inside the goat.

lol that would be great, open up Playstation magazine and see a guy vomiting inside a goat...you'd not eat for a week.

Tits were also a great idea, and I'm kinda suprised they allowed them tbh. Well tbh that was pretty much what E3 was about, which company had the hottest girls to flaunt.

That looked like a fun party, America's too full of uptight anal parents :|
