Wanna know what's really funny you guys? The fact you think claim bots are the hax, when in fact they are the gimp unless the user has top speed internet.
Why?
ffxi botting 101
Mr wild rabbit, more commonly known as tehclaimbot, is a program that takes a preinserted ID of a monster, warps to its spawn point, and searches for the ID to appear, then runs your Ctrl1 macro, preferably /provoke <t> or whatever you wanna claim with.
here's the thing, the bot has to search manually for the id before it runs, and that ID only appears on the server about 2-3 seconds AFTER the mob has already popped.
Then it runs the macro. So if you're good, you can outclaim the bot pretty effectively. the only reason a claim bot is > then the average joe and is still used is the fact that a claim bot never afks, bio breaks, glances away from the screen.
thus the user gives up 3 seconds of reaction time, in return they get 100% vigilant watching of the spawn. All it takes is being as vigilant as the bot at the window, and you can outclaim it no problem.
That is why I actually am more against the use of fishbots than claim bots. And even then, I have so much fun with fish botters and telewhorebotters, having seen the script of the programs myself.
(Try /saying Your rod breaks! next to one, 90% chance they'll justs top casting =D)
