Soul Calibur IV

At least they weren't stupid. They gave both versions a good character. I'd be pissed if it was like 360 had the princess and PS3 had Vader or vice versa. I love yoda, but vader seems more like a 360 character and yoda seems more PS3-ish. Probably just me though.

Yoda is green. I relate green to xbox systems. Vader is black, ps3 like!

Not me! Yoda is the light side and represents all that is good in the video game systems, which the Xbox 360 is the best!

Vader is evil and dies a most horrible death. End the end a little weaker! Represents the PS3!

*slurps the nerdy slurp*

I have not found anywhere someone saying these are the only extra characters. There could be more coming, maybe not star wars related but there could be other types.
Fire I understand you in some ways about tekken and the others coming but SoulCalibur has won me over. I used to be more into Tekken and such but as unbalanced as SC2 was it was still just plain old more fun then other fighters out there, to me at least. I have been won over since then. The original game on dreamcast was a close fight with tekken in my heart back then but its over for me. Guess you could say the opposite of your feeling on this matter, it will be hard for me to find time for Tekken and other fighters while playing SC4. and LOLASSHATLOOKINGStreet Fighter 4, looks terrible.

I think I played SC 3. It was on PS2, and you could design your own character and the graphics looked like ass. We had been playing Tekken 5: DR(the PS3 version) for like 3 hours and he wanted to pop this in. He was trying to explain to me how it was an awesome game and after a few fights I just looked at him and said, "fuck this man."

In all fairness he won't play Virtua Fighter 5 with me, cause I'm too good at it and he never learned.

Dead or Alive 2 was another one we tried out. It's kinda fun but also kinda stupid.

To me it's all Virtua Fighter and Tekken. The 2D stuff like Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Marvel vs SNK/Capcom and Guilty Gear is just kind of a fun toy but I can't get into those seriously.

I wish more people played Virtua Fighter that I play with in real life. I won't play a fighter online. Everyone plays Tekken though, it's a universal, so it's a good game to try and master.

Soul Calibur blows Tekken away, I'm sorry.

As per the topic. So say if Yoda gets the soul edge and becomes consumed by it, will he fall to the dark side? ;D

Sources say: Yes.

This just in, PS3's version is also getting God of War's Kratos in Soul Calibur IV :P

I wonder what the other 360 character will be then? I would hope that it isn't something stupid like Master Chief, or that SCIV people would give PS3 more special characters.

KRATOS?

Thats awesome if its true >.>

I'm pretty sure that'd happen :P and I'd bet that Master Chief WOULD be the character for 360's version lol. After all, Kratos is kinda the Sony Mascot now and Master Chief is the X-Box'

A halo spartan was done in DoA though, so i doubt itll be master chief.

Master chief would be a fucking horrible choice for Soul Caliber. Ryu Hayabusa would be an infinitely better choice, even though he's not a microsoft IP.

Honestly Kratos would be terrible also in SC4... He is a cool character but man would he be stupid in this game. As would master chief, i would think the Arbiter with a blade would appear before him. Which would also... Suck...

Hmm, that actually would be a better choice :P and since Ninja Gaiden 2 is X-Box 360 only well.. hmm. And I dunno, Kratos doesn't seem like a terrible choice for this game. Wouldn't be as bad as Master Chief. Though would that Heavenly Sword women be a better idea? lol

i fail to see how Kratos would be bad. He would fit right in in a weapon based fighting game. Master Chief would not.

It depends really. If Kratos was just using his chain blades then he can attack with long and short range like Ivy's weapon. But thats not the only weapon he has, his inventory switched from GoW1 and GoW2.

In the first game he used weapons bestowed upon him from the gods of Olympus, the second game were the weapons from the Titans. So I suppose the problem would be which weapon set he would use that won't be completely overpowered.

In a sense, if he is included and gets a certain weapon set, he'd be like a combo of Ivy from previous games and Link from SCII for the Gamecube and be completely overpowered... well... for this game at least seeing as he is overpowered 24/7 and runs on godly testosterone.

In other words, he's too manly for this game imo. I'd still like to see him in it though.

Edit: Also, Master Chief definitely DOES NOT fit in the Soul Calibur series. Never has, never will. Characters from First Person Shooters Must NEVER be allowed in fighting games. If anything I would probably like to see someone from the Tales series as that is actually owned by Namco, they included Lloyd in that Wii SC game so why not some characters from previous/future Tales games. They could include someone from Tales of Vesperia, that'd be cool.

Kratos with his Athena Blades is all thats needed for this game. Sure he had other weapons, but they don't need to be there in SC4, its a different game lol
