Its nice to see the typical responses where people make their judgements on a lack of information. Thanks Makelith, you're a perfect example ^^
To clear up a few things, it wasn't known to us "fool leaders" that there had been an agreement made, on who was going to lot the YYR. What we knew, is that both Myrrh and Soulstar had spent time this week camping and getting the ToDs for Shiki. In our LS, which both are members of... we have 3 SMNs that need the YYR and many of our members have volunteered to help them. It has been discussed on our forum, that these 3 SMNs would be keeping track of the ToDs, and whenever people could be available they would post and go out to help.
Tonight, Myrrh and Soulstar both brought help. Both had camped and put effort, so both should have had equal lotting rights correct?
Apparently not, Myrrh had asked to have the first drop. Now going by rules of how I play, if someone else had put in as much effort as myself for something and also brought help, I would never ask to have the first drop. To me, we both get to lot and both are still expected to put in the work until both go home with the drop.
Anyways, when Shiki was killed, we were told that Soulstar hadn't lotted. We advised him to, feeling that he had just as much right to lot as Myrrh. Not knowing the agreement before hand, that advice should have been fine IF that was the situation.
A couple of people in our LS had some dealings with Myrrh, which according to them was proof he had been "gear greedy" before. I don't know the stories or details, and through all my experiences with Myrrh, this has never been the case. I can't control what other people feel through their own experiences with people. Not everyone gets along with everyone. However, let me remind everyone that the name of who was going to get the YYR wasn't important tonight, it was the fact that it was one of our LS members that would end up with it that mattered. The people going to help, do not deserve to be trashed or judged because they were there to help both Myrrh and Soulstar. Thats how TBH goes, someone needs help they request it on the forum and we do our best to get it done. Sometimes we can't do it right away, but I have yet to see a request other than an HNM drop being disregarded.
The first mistake that was made tonight is agreeing to something that would have been unfair: someone having priority lotting, when equal effort had previously been made towards the NM.
The second mistake made, is that before lotting, Soulstar should have made it clear with Myrrh that he no longer felt his initial decision was fair and that he would like to be able to lot, and the two could have discussed that.
Unfortunately, we're not perfect. This game sometimes makes people make decisions that are wrong and after talking with Soulstar, he realizes he could have made better decisions that would have entirely changed what happened.
All I have left to say is that its disappointing to hear that an endgame LS had outright ignored a request to help with this NM, until a certain popular tarutaru said it was going to be for himself... when the member helping, had apparently not received anything yet had always helped whenever needed. It bothers me that all of a sudden, my LS is being attacked and judged because of a couple of people who have voiced opinions based on their experiences, because every time Myrrh ever mentioned Shiki in LS, he was never ignored. In fact, I organized a group to help him last week while he was busy doing endgame and we were able to meet up with him. These people had nothing to gain, we went out to help because Myrrh was a LS member and we enjoy helping. I don't believe once he was ever given "silence" when he mentioned Shiki, which is apparently the treatment he was given when he requested his endgame LS help him.
To Jyakotsu - You really need to find something else to do with your time. You feed on drama way too easily, and going out of YOUR way to tarnish other people, speaks a lot about you.
To Myrrh - I'm sorry for what happened tonight. I don't feel you need to hate an entire LS when the majority wanted to help you and continue helping until all our SMNs had their YYR. I don't think you should have asked to have the first drop, because that seems a bit selfish and you both should have had equal opportunity to begin with. I understand how much you want to progress your SMN, and as i've already told you I will help you get there. The comments you made about TBH really upset me, because I was going to be taking 3-4 hrs of my time Sunday to help you get all the avatars done, and when you make your comments you're including me because i'm one of the members.
The most upsetting thing here, is what has happened because of a pixelated item that has no real value in life. People are outright attacking each other and making judgements instead of trying to find a resolution and fix things.
There was no need to bring this here. The reason why? Someone made a mistake, and has already admitted to having wished they had made better decisions. This person isn't someone that goes around ninja lotting, this is someone who has spent hours helping other lower lvl players get their subjob items, farming NMs, coffers etc. Unfortunately though, a bad decision was made and really before people start condemning someone they don't know, they should find out what has been done or is in the process of being done to rectify things.
I'm tired and I can't think of anything more to say.
