Spider-man 3 midnight viewing

wow. my only gripe is that venom didnt refer to himself properly. other then that i loved the movie. and the "emo" lable is getting way to mainstream. even i said it when he first parted his hair over his face. i found it funny.

and yes, that and the dancing didnt paint him as a homicidal maniac. i think they left that up to him slaming brock into the wall, blowing up his best friend, taking pleasure in "killing" the sandman, hitting his true love. that kind of stuff. remember he's naturally a goodie goodie. makes sence to me that he didnt go further then he did.

Fuckin' Eric Foreman couldn't get it right. WE ARE VENOM!

The movie could've been a lot better. The jazz restaurant scene and a few others just weren't worth watching. If I were watching it on DVD, I would've skipped it.

***Spoilers***

I don't know what I'll be mentioning but I figure it'll probably be about the movie. It's more of a rant.

If I didn't know anything about Spider-man, I think I would like this movie. The fact marvel movies seem to take a little tangent from their written history irks me a little but most of them can be accepted.

The venom thing is something I really don't like. I caught the fact he didn't refer to himself as "we" as well. However I can't remember if that was something that was developed later after more bonding or if it happened instantaneously. Also, it only lightly touches on the fact the symbiote is a separate entity, but I feel it gives more the impression of more of a mindless virus.

The other thing I notice (and in the previous movie), is how freaking careless Peter Parker is to disguise his identity. At the rate he's going, he might as well be a part of the fantastic four and reveal his identity. You stand on top of a building without your mask where there is a celebration for you and then you put your mask on like five seconds before they announce your name? Give me a break... paparazzi could get more revealing pictures in this comic universe than the Peter Parker and Eddie Brock in their world.

Sandman....this guy is a pretty big enemy in my opinion. Although nothing major, I would imagine he should get his own movie. His appearance seems something out of the Mummy movies.

That is a very good description of the Symbiote-Parker. Emo-Man. It was almost embarassing to watch some of those scenes. I think they screwed up that message. He should have been that a very dark character which they kind of implied through the trailer. Then they just make it too comical when he's strolling down the street.

The way they did this movie made it seem like they knew there wasn't going to be one in a long time so they'll just cram whatever they can into this one. In addition to this, it seems like they could be setting themselves for a spinoff? Especially if there are delays in a spiderman sequel...maybe they'll just do a spinoff series...

Wouldn't Peter's spider sense have kicked in when Harry came up from behind him as he was riding on his motor scooter and swooped him up off of the streets? Just something that kind of ate at me while watching the movie.

I would generally chalk that up to spiderman having to maintain his secret identity. We cant go jumping 20 feet in the air off of a bike at random and expect for somone to not eventually think to check the liscence plate.
Also hollywood has people do alot of stupid things.
Also spiderman likes to keep the existence of his spidersense a secret so dodging something nonlethal like that initial hit would have blown the fact that he can tell when you'e coming ect.

The part where Sandman was pulling himself together after being transformed into the sand being is the best visual FX on the big screen in a long time.

I enjoyed how Spiderman defeated Venom. Looked like fun.

Why he really ditched the suit:

Jim Carrey as Carnage in Spider-Man 4, 2008.
Sooomebody, STOP MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE kjdhaskldhdhskajhkldjhsldhkajd

i can see jim carry as Electro or Mysterio ... but Carnage :shok:

well you see the symbiote fall through a hole or something on the ground :P

I thought it just kind of burned up and died after it got blown up?

Looks like I'm the only person that enjoyed the super emo strut and dance. It was all just so...corny, I loved it. True, I highly doubt the symbiote is merely going to make you strut around town and point finger-guns at the ladies, but it cracked me up anyway. I liked Topher Grace as Eddie Brock too actually....

I thought Topher Grace was a pretty good Eddie Brock when it came to personality. He needed to be buffer was about all and saying "We" when he was Venom. But, now I just think of Red Foreman going "Venom, get to your room before I give you a swift kick in the ass!"

Acutally he would make the perfect Carnage

Carnage is insane in the comic book and is mentally deficient, Jim Carrey excels at play these types of characters

ya, he plays those kinda roles really well :D like Riddler and Mask I think he was good for.

I imagine they didn't have him speak like that so it wouldn't confuse people that don't know the character in-depth and such.

well fawk those people then. We Spidey fans want our more original venom!

Eh, I still found it very lame.

That actually makes sense, given how they didn't bother to give one iota of information on venom. Hell, they never even called him venom during the movie, he was just some shitty evil spiderman.

They call him Venom in the trailers and commercials XD

So what? They called him venom to get people interested, but didn't say that word at all in the actual movie. It was just to get venom fans to want to come more.
