wow thats pretty wicked

no not wicked! SCARY. I am scared shitless of ANY spider no mtter how small. I just fucking hate them. why have 8 creepy legs? Huh? why why WHY???

Not to make light of the situation or anything, but DAMN! that thing Sickle Slashed all over that poor woman. Looks like someone forgot their Shihei.

But seriously I hope that poor woman doesnt have to have her leg amputatued or anything ; ; .

she didnt, she healed completly after 1year. now its just one huge scar

Well thats a relief. I would take a huge scar over a missing leg anyday.

It's better to get bitten by a black widow than a brown spider, i've once seen in a documentary.

The same Documentary spoke of the "Funnel Spider" It is the most deadly of all venom spiders, It was said they attack for no appearant reason, and their fangs can pierce a leather boot.

Ah... Good Ole Atrax Robustus The most Violent Spider on the planet. Attacks without any reason or provokation. (It's Aggro)

Fortunately, they are only considered the most deadly, because of thier aggression level.

But if yo uwant to know the spider posessing the stongest venom, look under your chairs and in the corners of your garage and less traveled rooms. The 'Daddy-Longleg' Spider has the most poisonous venom, however, it can not puncture your skin no matter how hard it tries...

And The big Cuddley Ones make me smile:

Above: Goliath Bird-Eating Spider

For some reason, after they reach a certain size, spiders no longer bug me, and border on 'cute'...

sure glad as hell we dont get things like that over here in the UK

Which is really unfortunate, since people torture these spiders to no end. I love spiders & leave them in my house if I see them.

actually thats a myth people. i work with a nature institute (im security for one of its buildings). the head of the inceterium gave me the true 411 about the daddy long legs and said that the story of it being the most venomus spider isnt true.

but the brown recluse is no joke. that just means the spider should be respected, like all other animals, not ferared. it will bite of it feels threatened. as anything that is able to defend itself. i have no fear of spiders what so ever. they help keep this planet habitable by feeding off the other "icky" insects you also hate (like the damn bid mosquitoes we have here in louisiana). my late friends husband got bitten by one in his home. he let it sit for a week before he suspected somethign was really wrong. the doc took 1 look at him and knew it was a spider bite. he requiered no amputations though and like that woman just has a huge circuler scar on his leg now.

i understand many of u find them frightening but trust me, spiders in this regioun of the world are far more weary of u than u will ever be of them.

Yeah, and I know tv isn't exactly the best source of learning. But good ol' mythbusters on discovery tested that once. If I recall correctly they extracted the venom and tested it as well as putting adam's arm in a tube filled with them and he got bit tons. 8)

That was actually the first time I've heard that myth, heh.
