Spiritmonger please avoid

No-one ever let me tank mandies in the jungles. They were all like "Get in the back! Heal or something!"
 
I dunno lol I just know that Hollie PL'd my warrior and Mandy's were twice as fast as war/mnk with G. Axe than War/nin with two axes. I broke 500 a few times before level 30 lol I got chain 5's and faster xp then parties this way too because I would counter them like crazy. Other than that, I haven't touched the jungle in over a year. I'm damn proud to say it because now-a-days, people don't put forth the effort to be exceptional. Decent, good, or even crappy are more common than an outstanding player. Part of what's contributing to the death of the game in my opinion. Of course, when a person is not held accountable and can simply skate by... well, that's what they'll often do.
 
Two of the most fun parties I have ever had where jungle parties. One was a pair of ninja/wars and a thf, that were just amazing. I think I cast maybe three cures the entire party because they just didn't get hit. I wish I could remember who the hell they were. The other was a war/mnk that kept me busy. I mean, the puller helped, too. That's the party that taught me that 1) Regen is your Friend, and 2) having over 1/3 your MP when the fight starts is a luxury. It's also the first party I played Beat the PL and won.
 
Right up to lv 37 you will see Ninja's similar to the one mentioned by the OP, too many of these 'half career ninja's' are just out to get it to subable level at 75 and never touch the damn job again. I blame ToaU personally it saw the increased need for /ninja in nearly every job Conceivable.
 
saying Ninjas can tank Mandy's fine without Utsu is a retarded thing to say (i forgot who posted it). How about I tank naked too then? It works, it just slows your party down considerably. i dont expect people to have stellar gear, but use the fucking spell that comes with your job.

No it's not retarded and it probably is best to gear for DEF against those mandies as NIN.

Fun map. However, I'd recommend you learn how to spell the most basic words in the English language before you post next time. "Ur" is not a word. Well, it is in Swedish, and is roughly translated in to "clock". But in the English language, no such word exists. Besides, assuming you mean "your", that is still a huge grammatical error, as "your" is stating the other person owns something. Basically, you just made here in to an object, and that map thus shows where my here is.

So assuming you're just that stupid, I will help you out. The word you are looking for is "You're", which is the correct term for "You are". Put in a sentence together with "here", it becomes "You are here" which is the full, grammatically correct sentence that you are looking for, as it is also more formal, and is the correct sentence to use on a map showing your position.

DEF build works great for a NIN. As do evasion build. Stating that you might as well tank naked is just retarded and shows your lack of understanding.

well the thing is, most people who wont use Utsusemi is usually more because they are lazy, which often means they often wont have the best gear either. of course this is a huge generalization.
 
1-30 = Doesn't matter

30-60 = Evasion

60-75 = Evasion skill + haste

All you need to know
 
Oh yeah, one more.

75 = Fire resist (tiamat), Haste, Magic defense bonus, Damage taken -%, Magic damage taken -%
 
Anything can tank mandys as long as you have voke. But the best tanks are WAR/MNK and MNK/WAR. Double attacking with a GA and following up with a Counter is too sexy to pass up.
 
6 x Whm/war ftw baby. Stoneskin, blink, and 6 vokes to bounce hate once someone takes damage.

That's how we whm do. We do this until we can make a Hexa-burn party.
