I'd like to have an all-encompassing list for games you can go online with multiple people on the same console. I'd like to classify them as online co-op and versus as well. For example, Rock Band, you can have 2-3 people on the same console and a 4th online, but it's not really the same as say... a 4 on 4 Halo game where all 4 people from one team can be on the same console. So I think a list would be great, cause I feel like it's a feature when you have people over, you really want in a game.

So...

Classifications here - 2/4 people, refer to how many people may be on the same console while it's online. co-op refers to a mode where all players are working together regardless of which console they're on, versus refers to a mode where all are NOT working together, regardless of which console. If there's a (cap) added on to the amount of people, that means that if 4 people are on the same console, no online people are playing.

Halo 3(4 people, co-op, versus)(Xbox 360)
Resistance 2(2 people, co-op, versus)(Playstation 3)
Army of 2(2 people, versus)(Playstation 3, Xbox 360)
Warhawk(4 people, versus)(Playstation 3)
Rock Band 1/2(4 people(cap), co-op)(Xbox 360, Playstation 3)
Littlebigplanet(4 people(cap), co-op)(Playstation 3)
Haze(2 people, co-op, versus)(Playstation 3)
Gears of War(2 people, versus)(Xbox 360)
Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket Powered Battle Cars(4 people(cap), versus)(Playstation 3)
Calling All Cars(4 people(cap), versus)(Playstation 3)

Alright, I must be missing some games, probably a few PSN and a lot of XBLA games. There has to be sports games I'm missing too, and Guitar Hero games... not sure which can do what. If anyone wants to help make this list bigger. I'm also not sure about Wii games. Can Smash Bros do online with more than 1 person local? I have played it online and local but never both.

I'm not going to put up the last gen games like Timesplitters Future Perfect. Seems kinda pointless.

I will look into some of my games and add what i find.

I believe GRAW has a split screen co-op but i need to make sure to classify it.

Gears 1 did have split-screen online versus. I don't know if 2 does. I remember because back then I only had one xbox and my girlfriend likes to play gears.

With Gears 1 though to get onto Online with 2 people you'd have to have two live accounts. for example, my live and my brothers live account, the first has to be gold and the second can be silver (I think, never tried because bro also had gold.). With gears 1 also, it's co-op/versus depending on which team the second player goes on since gears 1 online only had deathmatch type games and no horde.

I hope that made sense.

I believe you can with Castle Crashers, but it's an Arcade game so no one cares :>

I care about XBLA games. Just need the details on Castle Crashers. Is it similar to Littlebigplanet? Co-op only, 4 people max, and if 4 people are playing locally no slots for any online people?

Yeah basically...

It's a brawler akin to TMNT, only with RPG elements.
Honestly, try the demo. Even if you're iffy on it, I'd just wait for turtles in time remake.

Yeah... if you'd call Odin Sphere a Bad Dudes re-make.

Resident Evil 5

GRAW you can, idk what more info you need about Ghost Recon, 3rd person shooter

Need to know how many players can be online simultaneously and if they can do co-op modes(where all human players are on the same team) and/or competive modes(where some humans are against other humans). Also want to know if it's a case of all possible players on one console meaning no slots for online people.

Perfect Dark Zero has offline co-op with the campaign and bot matches. You can also do both of these online with your friends as well. The campaign allows for one other player while the Vs. modes allow for 4 people on a single console. This game is dirt cheap and is easily one of the best FPS on the system to this date.

Kameo also allows for one other player, online or offline, to join in on the gameplay. However, you have to play through the game on single player first to unlock this feature.

Rainbow Six: Vegas 2. Splitscreen, co-op campaign, co-op terrorist hunt (loads of fun) and all can be done offline. Allows for one other person on your console. I think the Terrorist hunt is limited to only 2 people and co-op is definitely limited to the user and one other. Not sure about Vs. MP on this game, worst I've ever played, ever.

GRAW 1 and 2 both allow for up to 4 players on a single console for the games MP modes, one of which is a co-op mode in which you work together to complete different objectives or you can just do firefight and try to outlast the baddies. From readin' the booklets to each game, I gather you can have 4 players for the campaign as well, but I'm not sure if the Co-op and single player campaigns are the same, even if they aren't these two games allow for a ton of fun with friends if you can enjoy the style of play.

I played this on my friend's Xbox. It's pretty good. You're going to give me slack probably, but I feel like this plays like Haze does, very Time Splitters like. Question I have is... you've said you can play offline co-op, and offline bot matches.. and online co-op and bot matches... but can you go online while in split screen mode?

Not exactly what I was looking for here. Online and splitscreen separately are both good features I am meaning splitscreen and online at the same time.

Ok I've played these both thoroughly and love em, but I know you can't go online while in splitscreen mode. If you could, I'd be playing it nonstop still.

Osy is saying GRAW 2 can have multiple people going online on the same console. I'm curious to know the details here.
