Check out this awesome video! Notice the physics engine and enemy AI!

According to Lucasarts, the next generation versions of the game will utilize Pixelux Entertainment's Digital Molecular Matter (DMM) and NaturalMotion Ltd.'s euphoria technology. Digital Molecular Matter (DMM) is a real-time physical simulation technology that causes materials to act in the game world as they would in the real world: wood splinters, glass shatters, and metal dents. Euphoria (gaming software) is a behavioral-simulation engine that gives all characters a nervous system, meaning that their animations are determined in real-time as reactions to stimuli. For example, characters unbalanced on a bridge will try to balance themselves by flailing their arms or attempt to catch the edge as they fall. Also contains the Havok engine. All 3 will be running at once!

Its really going to be a great game. I got to see it when i went to a vendor show in Las Vegas.

If memory serves correct, the game takes place between the movies, "The Empire Strikes Back" and "The Return Of The Jedi" and you play as Darth Vader's secret apprentice. You have to do assassinations on both sides of the force though, so the story goes in some pretty good depth. Some of the force powers are the coolest one i have ever seen.

The videos make my pants tighter but the hit or miss nature of past Star Wars themed games keeps me from getting too excited. I have high hopes for this one.

I thought it was supposed to happen between Episodes 3 and 4.

It does. Seven years after Episode 3, when you'll be hunting down the remaining Jedi to kill.

Also, this game gets me excited. Even the bad Star Wars games aren't awful lol.

I hate you.

Now I want this game even more.

I'm torn between picking this up on the 360 or the Wii.
On the 360 side, it'll look absolutely amazing. Which the Wii version won't. At least by comparison. But on the Wii side.... lightsaber. nuff said.

Only get the Wii version if you want a different developer and awkward controls.

yeah they already did a story between 5 and 6, it was called shadows of the empire, this one is between 3 and 4 and looks awesome!

On multiplatform games, the Wii usually gets the worst version. Also the Wii won't be able to run all 3 of the engines in the game, those are made for PS360 only.

The Star Wars battlefront games are really good, so some S.W. games turn out fine.

This, looks interesting. It could get boring quick or it could click, the question is how well the force powers are balanced to keep you having to use complex strategy while always being barely able to win. If it's not done right, it'll suck. If it's done correctly, it'll be amazing.

Graphically the game looks weak. The physics engine is very complex, and something that will help to move gaming forward. However, it needs a lot of work, because a lot of it seems wrong. The way things fall and collide isn't right. Everything seems too light, hollow.

As per Star Wars theme, I'm a sucker for it. It makes games better, it just does. I don't even care that the apprentice thing makes no sense. It's obviously not cannon. But seriously, only 2 sith at a time, a master and apprentice. Vader was the Emperor's apprentice after Darth Maul. He wanted Luke to be his apprentice and then kill the Emperor. The Emperor wanted Luke to kill Vader and take his place. Always 2 at a time.

This isn't entirely true actually. There were only two TRUE sith at any one time, but there were a number of Force Sensitive agents working for the Emperor (his Hands, for example)

Yep, and Vader was just undermining the emperor anyway. Also according to that interview, they have spoken alot with Lucas.

Btw the graphics in the final release won't be weak, in an interview, it was stated that the enviroments in the game were outstanding and this could easily be in the top 3 graphics wise for the 360.

Ive been keeping an eye on this game for some time, now... Although it is coming for the Wii (that will be unique... If they do it right.) Im sure I can easily say it will be better on the more powerful systems. Its not even being made by the same company, lol

Star Wars The Force Unleashed

Damn it i thought this was comming out next month it was looking badass, does anyone know wtf happened? its comming out in september now? This sucks

Thats amazing.

Need a ps3, I do.

This game got a pretty big boot from the company. Probably a problem with one or all three systems. My bet is that it is a problem with the Wii port of the game.

I'd bet if anything it's dealing with the PS3, the cell processor is a massive pain in the ass for developers. Plus, the Wii isn't getting a port, it's a separate build entirely.
