Maybe i wasen't really looking for a debate so much as was wondering what everyone else thought about it.... goddamn you, rones. I s'pose it works both ways we can't sit here and have an arguement/debate and try to prove each others opinions right and wrong.

Ok, fine, as such i seriously hope this thread advances as it peaks my interests to see what the cross-section of people who use the boards thought about it. Keep it to opinions if you can, if you've got facts go for it but try not to attack someone personally based on their ideology, it just shows a weak mind.
 
I could care less what he says. My job is to do whatever the president tells me to do. Regardless of if I like (and/or agree with) it or not.

I got to meet the guy in person a few times (mostly while here in Korea.) He's not the 100% moron that most people chalk him up to be. But he does have a (bad) way with words that makes him seem like a dimwit. Either way, he's probably doing 10000x the job I would be able to do as president.

I didn't vote for him. I didn't vote against him. I just plain didn't vote. At the same time, I've no right to bitch about his methodology and tact on things as I made no effort to ensure he did (or didn't) get in office.

I just do what he tells me to do like a good little military lapdog. Ignorance is bliss when you don't have to think for yourself.

As if he gives a rats ass about the people of America when its compared to 1 dollar that might leave his pocket.

Just look at whats happening to defined benefit pensions all over America. I'm not saying that its a bad thing, but this shows who he cares about more. Especially when you consider the way it's all being handled.

And to insinuate that he's trying to SAVE Social Security, hahahahahahahahahaha thats a fucking laugh.

Leahy is known for speaking freely to the press. He’s a liberal Democrat who has been a leading critic of Cheney’s ties to Halliburton, the company he used to run that is getting billions in government contracts in Iraq.

But of course, Cheney will never see a dime of that money. Right? Right...
 
you should mention how that $36billion was record profits for any U.S. company. And how they broke the record for quarterly profits in the 3rd quarter and AGAIN in the 4th quarter of last year.

All the while it gets harder and harder on everyone in america that isn't worth 5 million dollars.

Is this propaganda?

Or shall we just call it the sad truth?
 
Not to mention that they estimate 2006 to break even the current record if trends stay the same.
