I had a thought about straight tanking mobs, specifically KB and Kirin. The strategy for a straight tanked kirin, from my understanding, was to have so many people share the stonega that it didn't do that much damage per person.
Kirin and KB are both highly resistant to stun, so it's not reliable to count on stunning his nasty spells. A critical hit interrupts a spell casting, period. Sneak attack is a guaranteed critical, when used properly. Kirin won't cast more than 3 spells a minute, 60 second recast on Sneak attack. Its duration is the same as its recast.
So why aren't these mobs fought with a SA pseudo stun order? 3 thf or /thf should be enough, when you're up, have SA up at all times. When you're up for SA stun, you have it up at all times, behind the mob, facing away. If he starts casting something nasty, you turn around and pop him one.
With KB he does have an annoying AoE stun move, but that stun won't last long enough to get meteor off before stun wears. For him I would see thf main for this, so they can pop around and TA ws when they aren't up in the rotation, making sure they don't pull hate with SA and cause the gimpy spike flail move of his.
Has this been attempted before?
