Street Fighter IV vids

I've had the game for a little while now, and i have got to say, who in their right mind would make a boss so hard? He's at least 100x cheaper than that clone at the end of DoA4. The only reason i even want to try against him is so i can unlock all the characters. As soon as i do that, there will be no more arcade mode.

Wait.. wut? I didn't think this game was out yet.

No, it came out today. I beat the game with Ken & Ryu first and unlocked Sakura. I played around with C. Viper, who was easy enough to pick up. Abel and El Fuerte are a little... odd, but seem like they could be particularily devistating in the right hand.

The big fat dude just looks like a giant tit to me. Who knew giggle physics would work that way... D:

I tried the game on hard... I must say it was very easy and i was a little dissapointed with it... Then i reached the boss... Without losing a match i must add... I was feeling great, undefeated and new to this guy... 45 minutes later i quit and now realize i will never beat this game on hard mode.

I tried to complete the game on normal mode i guess it was and still did not defeat him... I only gave it 4 tries but WTF. I can almost perfect him the first round every try... The second and third round he does 1 of 4-5 things...

1. Teleports like a freak, grabbing me while he is not even technically there...
2. Using his counter shoulder every time i release block and attempt to attack...
3. Triple uppercutting me THROUGH my own attacks...
4. Completely cheating with his special move because appearently even if you hit him or are just about to hit him... I mean like an eigth of an inch from hitting him... The super cancels you. And is devestating...
5.............. Becomes fucking Rocky and will not die with just a sliver of health left.

A combo of 4-5 happened to me every single fight on normal mode and i am just bedazzled... I know i am a great SF player... WTF dude.

Dudes hard. In a cheap way...

Edit:DUDE WTF!! Can i change the rounds to 1 in Arcade???? If so... Your ass i mine blueboy!!!

Edit of Edits: So i changed the setting to 1 round and can beat him on normal mode without any challenge now. Well see how hard goes.

I agree. I only have problems with Z-man and Seth. Z-man is stupidly cheap. I mean, seriously cheap.

Great news is that I can just plow through storymode and still unlock characters under the easiest setting. :D

I thought this was coming out on the 27th. Damn Block buster catalog.

I hope i don't have trouble finding a copy tomorrow after work.

You shouldn't. I just bought mine tonight. Best Buy in my area didn't have it for some reason but Wal-Mart did.

In my area they are completely sold out of the PS3 games and the 360 controllers (stupid Akuma controllers were never actually going to come out even though they advertised them). Also something to think about, in my store's area there is, within a 5 minute drive, 2 Bestbuys, 2 circuit cities, 4 gamestops, and one other Gamecrazy, and 3 Super Targets.

Also, the game came out yesterday.

If you are just about unlocking things, just turn arcade mode to 1 round. You won't have to deal with the super overpowered version of Seth. I don't know if you'll get achievements for it though.

Still not as hard as Shin Akuma in Capcom Vs. SNK 2, though.

Or Rugal in any of his SNK-made incarnations. Most SNK bosses actually.

I beat the game with 6 people on normal yesterday. I am trying to get the achievements for beating it with every player and then on hard. The characters are coming along. Unlocked Akuma last night also =DDD.

This is by far the hardest boss in a fighting game to me. Shin Akuma... Geese... Rugal... The weird biotch at the end of DoA... I dont struggle with them. Can i lose? Sure.

This fucking Seth dude is so over powered... He basically breaks the rules of a "Street Fighter" game.

Does this part make sense? He honestly is not all that skilled... He is just so far beyond cheap. You can just tell he has very simple AI that is ment to mirror your moves and use the exact perfect move at that time.. Beyond that he drains your health, teleports into moves, can grab you while you are rolling, can grab you out of any move... Even the fucking spinning kicks...

I managed to beat him with Chun Li last night... I am not a great fighter with her.. But who needs to be eh? She is fast enough and agile enough to make up for it eh? While in a party with Jereme... 45 first rounds later i beat Seth with her... I just hit light punch the entire time. Its like his AI is broken against it.

JESUS! Seth, the final boss in Arcade mode, is so fucking CHEAP!

He uses every character's moves and abilities it seems! The combos I've seen from him so far belonged to Dhalsim, Zangeif and Ryu/Ken when I fought him. God dammit!

The only way I can express my frustration with fighting Seth is with this:

I got my copy yesterday and i beat Seth twice so far. With Ryu I used a ton of Fireballs and upper cuts and quick jabs and an ultra combo attack to beat him. After almost an hour it took for my first victory against Seth, it was more like a lucky shot in the dark that i even won.

The second time i beat Seth with Vega. At this point in time I don't know if fighting Seth is different with all the other characters, but with Vega defeating Seth is more of a waiting game. Sometimes we can plant some good attacks on Seth and get away with it, and after doing so, I waited for him to turn black and do that force thing to pull me in, then after blocking his attack and the routine combo he does after that, I hit him once with a hard punch while crouching. With Vega that hard punch while crouching does some nice damage with the claw). Then fall back and wait again. With Vega the back flip evasion thing came in handy against Seth too. But waiting while in a lower blocking position works for me.

So my main strategy for beating Seth is to keep falling back, and strike when the few opportunities arise. 90% of the time when we attack him dead on, he'll do the impossible and we'll end up with a Zangief pile driver, or some ludicrous upper cut combo from him.

The game itself isn't half bad, I think when i start playing others it'll get better.

Easiest way to beat seth is be more cheap than he is. Spam any and all ranged attacks, sweeps, and grabs. You'll eventually win. Doesn't work on Hardest difficulty though. It took me like 4 odd hours to beat it on hardest difficulty last night. The round i did beat it on though, i beat it without losing a life, so i got both achievements. Hardest Arcade difficulty and not using continues.

That must've been torture to do T_T I can't even beat it on easy. You'd have to be a SF GOD in order to do what you did Makelith O_O

Looks like I'll actually need to practice more for this game, I've finally got a fighting game that's challenging. >=D

Not anywhere near actually. I've played in a lot of tournaments but there is a huge difference in playing computers and people. Computers are usually really predictable and spam the same moves over and over again. You just have to use someone with high priority moves (Sagat,Zangief,Blanka) and you just go through all of their attacks.

*RAGE FACE!* Even on Very Easy mode, Zangeif is a nightmare to beat. The moment he knocks me down it's game over, the computer just spams the grab moves as soon as I get up T_T

Just practice and you will get it at some point. I am no SF champ and i am able to move through hardest fairly easy... Only to be embarrassed by Seth.

And when it comes to fighting games playing against a person is far more challenging then a hardest difficulty AI. Some of my friends are like fighting game freaks and once you play that type of person you get nothing but frame rate glitches and what not that they use.
