The Shining kind of had me crazy for a bit only because there's this one scene (I can't really remember), the lady was running around the building looking for an escape, it was flooding or something, and she opens one door and there's a guy sitting on a bed with a man in a teddy bear suit kneeling. If anyone can find a pic of that particular part that'd be super, I wanna see what I was so afraid of.

I never really did understand the ending to that movie either...

You know what freaked me out as a kid It was the Kool Aid commercials, That big talking bowl of punch would come crashing through your liveing room going "OH YEAH!!" All the kids would be all excited, then they would drink out of him after debis fell in his open dumb head. Him and his crazy Tights, I don't like it when juice wears tights, with Juice box hanging out. Fuck Drinking out of him I'd be like "You fix that wall before my dad gets home from work, Hes gunna beat me with a belt, hes not gunna believe a talking bowl of fruit punch came in here. Ya comeing through the wall was real fucking cool, Useing the front door is cool!!!" Man i really want to kick him in the tights, he'll go down cause hes very top heavy.

I was about 8 or 9 -- first slumber party and first horror movie.

This is what the kids mom lets us rent:

There's this scene whre the girl is predicting the cards and her voice slowly morphs and then she turns around and her face is just..creeepy. Nightmares for years.

I finally rented it again in college...and it was still scary.

I think the first thing that I ever found creepy though were these guys..I remember crying and running from the room..

When i was about 4-5 after seasame street came on there was this show with a dude in a spandex suit that showed the internal organs and whatnot, can't remember the name so i couldn't dig up a screen but it was this white dude with the brown white-man-fro and his guts out for the world to see. Always made me all but sick when it came on, i'm not much for internal organs being anything but that .... internal.

Edit: i know the topic said movies but that's about all's i can remember from childhood really bothering me on a media scale.

Little Shop of Horrors! My parents took me to the theatre to see it in 1986 when I was only 3, and I cried so much from the plant talking that they had to leave the theatre. Recently I rented the movie and watched it, and have to say I love it! lol

It's a very great musical, and I even have the "Dentist!" song on my iPod now.

One of the movies that freaked my shit out that wasn't supposed to - was that damned HOBBIT cartoon. They were just so.....ugly...

The shower scene from the original Psycho was what freaked me out when I was a little kid. Made me scared of the bathroom for weeks. Now it's one of my favorite movies.

What's scary is that anyone would try to remake it or that anyone would attempt a role perfected by Anthony Perkins. Vince Vaughan and crew need to be shot.
