If you want to be creative, just get a linkshell group for it. You'll never make the general population want to try anything new. If you consider the number of pro-individuality people floating around, there must be enough to form a linkshell. I used to think playing XI how you wanted was important, but even I conformed eventually. The majority of XI involves a collection of 5 other people and you doing something they don't want to be doing (exp'ing), so rather than make it enjoyable, they rush through it as quickly as possible, under the impression that there's a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, which of course never materializes and they start all over with a new job. The problem with individualists in XI is that they think exp sessions should be fun. The general population thinks they should be work, and treats them accordingly. Don't say, "It's just a game" - you'll get picked on. Say "It's just a job" and you'll fit right in. Rush to 75 with an optimal job combination in a desired class, and just remember that the fun part is always two steps ahead of you in the popular mentality.
