is freaking annoying to get a /tell about brogame all the time and every day...

So my suggestion to SE is filter out the word "Brogame" in the chat/text system. So each time those loser trying /tell random people, they well get those error "A command error occurred."

if they find clever way trying to bypass by typing "B r O G a M e" or "emagorB" i'm sure SE can filter those out too... i think is the only way

Other way is to have new filter option for player (Like a blacklist). For example, you type in the words you want the system to filter. so you put in "brogame" into the filter system. When a RMT /telling you with those brogame ads. it'll be block by the system and give them error "A command error occurred" to the sender.

Blacklist itself won't get rid of those RMT, they keep changing name so is pretty useless.

If you think this is good idea. you should submit it to SE. More people submitting more possible next update will allow to get rid of brogame RMT

If you use windower theres a plugin somewhere that fixes these tells.

Or S-E could limit the number of tells that a new account can send to something like 5 per hour for the first 14/30 days.

Or you could wait 1-3 seconds for that tell to scroll through your log, never to be seen again. It's mildly annoying, I guess, but I can think of much worse things that could happen to me than two tells over 10 hours on a Sunday afternoon.

I actually agree with Tim. I thinking restricting words or limiting tells would be too much than just letting the text pass by. It's not really effecting my gameplay at all. Sometimes I even reply with a "fuck you" or something else harassing.

I start spamming tells back to them. One called a GM, GM never came. Neat.

They seem to go alphabetically through names...this RMT task force should create some GM-like characters with A names and ban each one.

Yes I'm thinking people with Z names must be fairly safe from this crap as they work their way upwards.

I wish that were the case, but unfortunately that's not true, I get at least one /tell daily. I've had up to 4 once before in an evening, that was really irritating.

I just ignore them now though, too much of a hassle to reply and tell them to bug off. I tune them out the same way I tune out a lot of the pointless shouting you read in whitegate/jeuno some times @_@

this would be quite a inconvenience to new people maybe instead of amount of tell make it amount of people you can send tells to. Or make it that you have to get atleast level 5 before being able use search function or only able send tell to people with mentor status on if before lvl 5.

When I receive a tell from them, I let my linkshell know so that they can blist them. It does not solve the overall problem, but at least cuts down on their possible audience.

I always respond back with a nice polite:

Spoiler:
Huge Savings on my dick in your mouth! With a 25% discount if you act right now! Go to www.mydickinyourmouth.com for instant access! Get an additional 10% off if your mom sticks my dick in her mouth too!

Funny enough, none of them ever respond back after that.

I always receive the tells at the same time on both of my chars, so they are most likely automated bots. Answering them is pointless.

Lol Supa! If I'm bored I'll normally spam tell them back something until they log off. Cao ni ma for example

It's really impossible to stop completely.

Blizzard (now now, stay with me here) has been trying to stop the spam tells / shouts for a lot longer than SE has, even if FFXI is the older game.

They've filtered so much shit, it's not even funny anymore. And they still get it out. Maybe now even more than they ever have.

You just have to ignore it, or like tyrath said, get a windower filter.

I always respond with a big:
