"Summoning Magic" skill..

Holy bloody jesus do they needto make it easier to skill up. I waste all of my mp (480, ignoring auto refresh) summoning/releasing crap outside Jeuno, for what? Holy sh-!t, ONE skillup, and it's usually only .1. I'm sorry if this seems whiny, but am I the only one that sees needing to blow 5 hours getting summoning magic up those three levels you can get per level, as slightly beyond bullsh-!t? Maybe I'm missing something, and if so, someone please inform me, because levelling the skill is the biggest waste of effort, not to mention unbelievably tougher than levelling other skills...yes, even Nijutsu seems to be easier, since you could probably get 10 skill levels and farm back the money spent in it before you even get ONE level in Summoning.

I spent 7 hours summoning outside Jeuno for 2 levels in summoning magic...It really needs to go up more in battle. Stupid SE...why must everything in this job I love so much be such a pain in the ass?

I'm too much of a putz to remember what is a skillchain and which one bursts what kindof magic..so I'm stuck with WHM, SMN, or perhaps BST. I could only wish that Summoning would raise as easily as a weapon does.. ><


Think it's even worse than SE never really divulged (is that the right word?) info on the skill...it's just assumed that it effects avatar attack/accuracy/evasion...or somethin..

I am leveling a craft...the same craft as you are as a matter of fact but I didn't lose 300k from 22-28.

And about the enhancing thing...good for you? Way to bring more to the table in parites.... :roll:

hey i try lvling that shit all the time, it just wont fucking lvl, besides im not lvling whm again till i cap my shit, so im kinda stuck at 40 for now, i think im only about 10 lvls behind on any1 magic skill for whm, and i dint lose 300k, i wasted it, theres a difference because i knu exactly what i was doing

This is one of the reasons I became BLM actually. I started to level smn to sub for my whm in my weekly static. I only got my smn to like level 8 (i think) and trying to raise smn skill drove me up the fucking wall. That's when I decided to level BLM as my sub instead and fell in love with BLM.

I may eventually go back to leveling smn as an alternate sub...but probably not until I am able to do the avatar primes as my blm. Maybe I'll have more patience by then... :roll:

HA! last time i saw sabia i was running the the fungus hat nm spawn to show a friend where he spawned and sure as shit the mother fucker spawned right as we were there, so we got it b4 her and killed it, no drop tho

think of the skill level of your magic as the level of your avatar. I do not know if it effects things like stoneskin, or hastaga, but it most definatly effects how much damage your avatars do and how accurate their speacials and normal hits are. And... i am sorry you are having so much trouble D: i must have really good luck or something >< my smn is 30, when i was skilling up after each exp pt i would get at least 1 whole point per MP pool ^^;;; it was still slow, but not nearly as bad as your are discribing ><

I got bored earlier so I decided to level my summoning magic. Took about a half hour to go up two or three levels. Right now it's level 9, but at my current job level, it caps at 28.

Your forgot to mention that I had gotten the Truffle twice that day and 3 times the day before. I was farming the beehive chips and mushroom drops...

You couldn't be bothered to talk in a /tell conversation so I left. Had some shit to get done anyway. OH NOOOZ!!!! ROOFIE GOT THE TRUFFLE! NOT THE 10k DROP!!!!

The mushroom drops end up netting more then the stupid hat anyway, and that's what I was there for. :lol:
