i got to say ... that good list

now let guess the characters lol

Not bad... Not bad indeed. I know alot of these people.

As far as characters go... Last time, they put in Fox and Falco... and Captain Falcon and Ganondorf...

What I didn't like was how they were pretty much clones of one another.

Why not use Fox and Krystal? Fox's on-again / off-again girlfriend? That'd be interesting to see. They could use some more female characters added to the roster besides Peach, Samus and Zelda.

What happened to Nobuo Uematsu doing the music?

Motoi Sakuraba also does/did Tales of music and Star Ocean 3.
Nice to see some HAL people in there too.

there arent too many female characters that are well know from nintendo :(

I think Megaman and Bomberman should be introduced into smash bros though...

Bomberman is a dead franchise imo.

Megaman could work, but he'd basically be a shorter(maybe faster?) clone of Samus.

They should really talk to Sega about Sonic and Tails + a few extras. Thats honestly what everyone wants.

Personally, I think Earthworm Jim would be pretty badass. Complete with an Andy Asteroids theme playing stage. Maybe an Andy Asteroids stage itself, with several platforms scattered on screen, with asteroids passing by at random heights to push players around. Obviously with an indicator of what height they'll be flinging by at, like the cars from the Earthbound stage in Melee.

Forgot all about Earthworm Jim, that would make an awesome addition. Im beginning to wonder what exactly happened to him, his game rocked. The N64 game wasnt great, but it was good.

Bomberman would be boring(4 powers of just laying bombs), Megaman would be somewhat a copy of Kirby, since he'd be absorbing people's powers. Sonic would be interesting, but I don't think there would be any good moves for his powers; but then I haven't played any since the Genesis games so maybe they added some.

Thats pretty irrelevant, because Captain Falcon never performs flaming kicks and punches in the F-Zero series.

JAPAN TIME

In all seriousness though, I like the new layout of the website. Hopefully we'll see more updates as the game nears retail. Until then, though, we get to listen to the...MENU MUSIC. ONE!!!!

Both BomberMan and Solid Snake have appeared in a Gamecube and PlayStation 2 fighting game that was pretty much a clone of Super Smash Bros. Melee.

Dream Mix TV World Fighters (Click here for Wikipedia article)

The game was pretty much Hudson Soft versus Konami versus the Takara Japanese toy company franchises.

From the Hudson side, they had key characters like White Bomberman and Master Higgins (The Star of the "Adventure Island" games). From Konami, notable characters were Solid Snake (they're probably porting the Solid Snake from that game into "Brawl"), a "Moai" from the Gradius games (those Easter Island figurehead statues) and also Simon Belmont--they use the "Castlevania Origins" version of him. He was pretty much the "Link" of the game. Except instead of a Master Sword and the Boomerang, Simon used the standard Whip and used the classic Crucifix / Cross as his projectile boomerang. The only character from the Takara toy company that us Americans would know right off the bat is Optimus Prime from everyone's beloved "Transformers"! Robots in disguise! Videos of it are on IGN.

But yeah, I think it'd be nice to see "Krystal" or maybe "Katt" (from Star Fox 64 and Star Fox Command). Speaking of which, they seem to be using the "Star Fox Command" version of Fox in Brawl. That's just from my personal observation.

If they're going to use Fire Emblem characters, why not use "Lyndis" (the chick with the falchion and green ponytail from the first "Fire Emblem" released on GBA in USA)... or better yet, "Ike", the main character from "Path of Radiance".

Instead of filling the Smash Bros. roster with more Pokemon, they should try using other animal characters... Why not use the support animals from Kirby's Dreamland 2 and 3? Coo the Owl, Kine the Sun Fish, Rick the Hamster, Nago the Cat... That'd be funny as heck.

I played that game, it sucked ass. All bomberman had was dropping a bomb he could kick, all snake could do was plant C4 on the ground. They had better not fuck snake up like that.

Yeah, Snake has his CQC and guns and such.

logic? D:

"Dead," as in "Nothing of half-decent quality has been released in ages." Bomberman saw a downfall the moment it stepped into the world of 3D.

Shiny still considers Earthworm Jim as one of their big brands. So who knows, we might see another EWJ game sometime in the future.

...Corporate bravado aside, Fils-Aime's speech did contain some major announcements--or, more accurately, confirmations. The physically imposing executive allayed many-a-Nintendan's fear by promising that three of his company's biggest 2007 titles would indeed arrive before the stroke of midnight on December 31.

The most anticipated of the bunch was Super Smash Bros. Brawl, the forthcoming Wii fighting game. Though the game was originally slated for a 2007 release, speculation had grown in recent months that it, like many Nintendo titles, might slip past its original release date.

Fils-Aime also pledged that two other high-profile titles would arrive during 2007. The 3D platformer Super Mario Galaxy for the Wii remains a lock for the year, as does The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass for the DS. The former always had a 2007 release date, while the latter had originally been scheduled to arrive in 2006.

Whole story here

Sweet

The site is being updated every weekday, so it's awesome that Hal Labs is finally giving us some insight on what we're going to see soon. Today's update was a brief summary of Pit's special moves.

And I quote myself from irc. I hate self-quoting. It's probably one of the most shallowest things a person could do, but this holds a large degree of truthiness.

<Skaw> If it wasn't for SOLID SNAKE being there, I'd bet money that Pit would be the most overplayed character.
<Skaw> He's pretty much Legolas with wings.
