Xbox360 Tales Of Vesperia Post Release

Quiet battles would fail so hard I wouldn't touch RPGs. I don't mind Japanese VA durin' battles simply because they seem to put more "umph" into it. It's just unfortunate that the English "VA's", as a whole for the most part, suck at their jobs.

Not talking about pure quiet battles. Just some of the absolutely annoying names of some of the moves spouted off 20 times in one damn fight.

The EU finally got a release date for Vesperia....

Spring 2009...

God damn it... I hope Namco gives us something nice for our wait, because we really shouldn't have to wait about half a year extra for games now.

lmao @ the skit where karol asks

Spoiler:
am i really that emo?

not really a spoiler of anything, just didnt wanna ruin the comedy of it when it comes up for people so it will be funnier when they see it in game.
I literally lol'd

Wait what?

Some of the post-battle quotes are real gems, too:

Spoiler:
Estelle: They're.. bouncing!
Judith: What're you looking at?!
Estelle: I wish I could bounce..

That scene alone guaranteed that Judith would never leave my party unless required to by the story. That and she's bad ass.

I'm not very far, just got to Heliord, really enjoying this game so far. I'm actually finding the boss battles moderately difficult, which is nice.

The secret missions really make some of the boss fights a pain in the ass. I wish there was a skip cutscene feature.

To the People who have played this, how do they handle the multiplayer? If the camera fixed around player 1 like other games of this type? I hate it when you can have player 2 run out of screen, is that what I am looking at here?

Nope. Playing multiplayer, if player one is on one corner of the battlefield and player two is on the other, it just zooms way out to ensure both players can see themselves. It's a bit annoying, but usually it's not that big of a deal. Not as bad as not being on-screen, at least.

Like Shyra said, they zoom out to see everyone. My only complaint is with the Dynamic Camera, sometimes it's angle will shift drastically and fuck with you moving. Like, you're running to the right to an enemy, and then the camera shifts and suddenly you're running away because the enemy is to your left. You can turn it off, thankfully, and movement during battles gets much simpler.

Thanks! Rate ups!

Best Tales game made

I wish they'd port it for ps3. I don't see why this can't happen. >< I don't want to buy a 360.

They might still, they've done it with every other Tales game, they always port them to another console later on and add extra goodies. They actually ported Symphonia from the Gamecube to PS2 before the EU release on Gamecube and that might happen still, but, we shouldn't get our hopes up yet.

That was years ago and last I heard they had no intentions, made it very clear, of makin' it available to the world. The only thread of hope people with only a PS3 should hold Vesperia to is that Namco/Bandai actually followed through and decided to give you Eternal Sonata. Would be fine for those who can understand a little Japanese, don't care about the story, etc. but I doubt that's Ecks or the majority of the PS3 user base.

Well Eternal Sonata is coming to the US on PS3.

Doesn't really matter to me, I'll get Tales on the 360 unless before I go ahead and buy it there's a PS3 version announced that's in some way superior.

Anyone else still playing this? I'm 86 hours in, and I think about 75-80% of the way through. I know I passed the 2/3 mark about 15 hours ago, but after that point I've mostly been doing side quests and farming items up for synthesis. I would be much further(on my second play through, definitely) but I'm only playing when my roommate and his girlfriend are over to play together.

Spoiler:

We've created 2 of the elemental spirits so far, before trying to fight against the adaphagos

How the hell are you 86 hours in? I'm a little further storywise, but only just under 40 O.O
