Wrong that's like saying, "I don't like pasta therefore I must hate all italian food". Your better than that so don't use weak blanket statements to justify your position. It's the disturbed people who take it to extremes.

Examples:

Girl who gets a ladybug tattoo on her ankle = tasteful
Girl who gets the words "cum dumpster" tattoed above her vagina = whore

Guy gets a tattoo on his arm = sure why not
Guy gets a tattoo on his face and can't understand why even McDonald's won't hire him = loser

Don't give me that crap that no one should judge you just cause you want to be "unconventional" because that's fantasy land. People all judged ALL the time whether they like it or not. These same douches who decide looking like a freak is cool are the first ones to bitch that society won't give them a good job or a place to live.

Also, you did use a blanket statement by basically saying ALL facial tattoos would be distasteful and freakish. Because only freaks get facial tattoos. Again that is wrong to say.

This pretty much says all individuals who 'mutilate' themselves are freaks. That would make me a freak and a massive volume of the general populace freaks. Because self mutilation would be any sort of permenant enhancement or alteration of your natural self.

I don't assume for a second anyone with any tattoo would be exempt from the judgemental. They just care less than most of the more conservative types that would worry about such judgements.

If she chose to get all 56 stars tattooed on her face then it seems she didn't think it through well enough, that's not to say others who choose to get facial tattoos don't put some serious thought into it. It also doesn't mean she's a 'freak' a 'loser' or 'disturbed'.

Tattoos are funny. Some are statements, others are lifestyle choices.

I have a friend Daisy Daisy, by most conservative peeps she would be viewed as a 'freak' and that's sooo far from the truth it's just not funny. She has over 100 tattoos now, I like to call her my walking billboard. She's also a manager for a very successful clothing chain. And although I don't particularly like her choice tattoos she is no less sane having made the choice to get covered. It's her body and this is how she chooses to celebrate it.

I don't buy her story at all. I think she got what she asked for and then decided to try to back-pedal.

Its a little much for my personal taste, but I don't find it offensive. Facial tattoos are just generally not my thing, but, just like with any other piercing or tattoo (or even a haircut), its totally about who gets it. Some people can rock stuff other people have no shot of pulling off. Though I've yet to see someone who has half their face in tattoos and think to myself, "Damn, that looks pretty awesome."
