Teaching my daughter about death tonight

Sad thing is ... hes been walking around sniffing and looking for rocky, its obvious that hes looking for him because he will run a few steps, stop, look around, run a few more, stop, sniff look around, back track...its sad.

That would make me feel really bad, ya know...

Hope Apollo keeps on kickn for the best. He'll be a good cat for your daughter for years to come after he/she makes it out of his/her problems.

I am a Cat fan myself, and my Saber is 7yrs old and she is one of my best companions I've ever had. Old old Cat.

Good luck Apollo, i'm rootin for you!

Sorry to hear about that Chasym, I do hope everything turns out for the best.

That is one amazing cat I hope he pulls through, and good luck on the investigation, Also what was the name of the cat food by curiosity? Have you done google search on it might bring up any law suits or food poison incidents.

Oh, there's nothing wrong telling her he was sick, it's just that it might be hard for her to realize that some illnesses are fatal, while other common ones are not. The key is not to generalize and to be as honest as you can.

I'm so sorry about your kitten, and I hope Apollo makes it - I just don't know why you'd have two pets if you can't afford to take care of them. Sorry to be kind of harsh but when I look at my situation and I think to myself that I want another dog - I say no because where I could afford 3 when they're healthy, I can't afford 3 when one of them is sick, so I stick with two.

Hope he makes it, poor kittens.

Edit; Good luck with your daughter, that's going to be a tough conversation - and I'm not trying to call you out or anything, just being realistic.

I have a particular soft spot for cats, especially kittens. As I was reading your story, I was praying and hoping little Rocky would be alright.

I really feel it when something bad happens to a cat...I'm sure you daughter shares the same sentiment. As long as you're there with her, it'll be ok.

Poor kitty...

I hope all is well with your kitty.

If he is still walking funny he may have suffered a stroke brought on by the seizures.

When you can afford to take him to the vet you should speak seriously to them about any future health hazards in which his condition has placed him, then you can consider what funding his life-span will involve.
