Thank you sir, may I have another?

Hell, imagine if they played FFXI. They'd have a whole damn linkshell just in one house.
Could become the new Daikons :o
Anyway, I heard about these guys when their offspring numbers were at 16. Fucking breeders, I swear to god...

After the 12th kid they just start falling out. She actually uses clothes pins to keep them in for the 9 months.

You paint a beautiful picture.

I wait for the day when she goes on the news all depressed and says "The Lord appeared to me last night in a vision. He told me 'I know I said to be fruitful and multiply, but Jesus Christ! Give it a break!'"

Wins the thread and I HATE YOU REP SYSTEM for not letting me rate him up for this.

*Edit*
now that i stopped laughing from the hilarious comments in this thread i can give my :2cents:

When i saw their picture the first thing i thought of was, "are they Amish or something?"
I saw a special on polygamy where households were this huge but for 1 couple to punch out 18 kids.......they don't make love anymore, they're running a marathon.

I think they are conservative Baptists. I am still wondering how they find the time to actually have sex to make more babies with all the kids in the house.

Well I think thats the trick Stine, when you have 17 other people to watch a kid. Really you can slip away without anyone noticing. Their house is a 24 hour convention center! lol

Just got mentioned on 'the Herd' on ESPN radio...Colin Cowherd:
"I gotta imagine her birth canal is like a slip-n-slide right now, just shooting kids halfway across the room"

When this begins to resemble the attire your OBGYN wears when in the delivery room... its time to stop.

Wanna stick your finger in my thrust hole? ^.~

"Hotdog in a hallway."

Think about it for little bit, go ahead I'll wait.

I gotta hand it to them, they're doing more than can be said of a lot of families in this country. All the kids appear to be healthy and happy and (more or less) well-adjusted. They've got a roof over their heads and two parents who are obviously working their asses off to make sure that they have a good life. I don't think it's natural for a kid to have to schedule one on one time with thier mother (like it mentioned in the video in the original link), but that's a darn sight better than never seeing your mom because she's a single working parent.

Plenty of families schedule one-on-one parent-child time. The reasoning is a bit less dramatic in most cases, but with the amount of time parents are generally working, and the amount of stuff kids do, it's not at all uncommon, even in single-child families.

I guess the question for the people out there in this thread is:

What is a comfortable number of children that you would want?

I'll go first, and that would be 2 at most 3.

Tristam and I have talking about this and we say that 2 or 3 would be good for us. I have a grandmother who had 12 brothers and sisters but that's still an uncommon number in my family. Her family lived in a small town and they did some farming. I'm not sure about the age range in between the children but I think most of the older women in my family got married at 16 and started having kids shortly afterwards. My mom was 18 when she got married and 19 when she had my sister and myself. Most of the couples in the my family have 2 to 3 children. Most of my family live in a small town and they used to do chicken farming.

I grew up with three sisters, and 12 years between the oldest and the youngest. Most of my friends had between three and five siblings, too. So, it always seemed like four kids was really the way to go, and spaced between two and four years apart.

Many years later, I'm a mother of two - a nine-year-old and a three-year-old - and that's more than enough. One kid was super easy, and I was like, yeah, I can do three or four no problem. But two turns out to be plenty. :)

Yeah I say 2 or 3 now but I know we'll have to see after we have our first child. I know that every child is different. I admire any parent who raises their children well. Children are awesome but they are a handful. :) I just borrow my (3 year old) nephew and (5 months old)niece when I want to and they wear me out!

I adore aunts. They make my life so much easier. :)

We have 2 right now, and the topic of having a third has been shelved for the time being. If we do decide to have 3, it will definitely be our last. Osse was #5 out of 6, and because of that he's really strongly against having a ton of kids. ;)

My mum is one of 10, and I am one of 3...the most children i would think about having is probably 3 too...
