WTF he looks like a blonde Ron Jeremy.

As disturbed as I am by Link's camel toe, I am more disturbed by the fact that he has a porn star beard, and even more so by the fact that he is using his sword with his right hand.

Really, the only thing that we can do right now is wait for it to be released. I'm all for new ways to play games, but that doesnt mean that the "old" way was bad. I dont think every game under the sun could benefit from this control scheme. I think a game like Madden would be a pain in the ass, but a baseball game or a golf game would be very fun to play (at least in the short term... I play games because I'm too lazy to do the actual activity ;) )

As for new possiblilites, you bet I'm all for those. I just think its too early to tell one way or the other if this is going to "revolutionie" gaming. I'm still going to wait to try it myself, and when I do I'll do so with an open mind.

In a perfect world I'd be able to get every game system, but I just dont have that kind of money. I know I'll be getting a PS3 for MGS and other series that are on it. I'm not yet sold on either the 360 or Revolution, mostly because the games dont excite me yet (has there even been videos of any Revolution games?). Do I need a new controller every time I get a new system? Nintendo seems to think so. Sony on the other hand feels that their controller works well enough to continue to use it for a third generation, and I happen to agree with them (though the boomerang design is ass-ugly).

I've already used a remote control as a controller on an airplane. It's not fun or new.

But his massive side burns lead you to believe he has one.

When looking at all three new controllers I'd have to say that the PS3 boomerang from hell is the least appealing.

I mean the thing just looks uncomfortable.

Xbox360 only added a few tweaks to it's S-type which is just fine by me because for my orgish hands it's definately the perfect size.

as far as next gen system are concerned I'll issue my opinion.

XBox360: I'm down with . . . there's already a good number of titles that I'm keen on topping my list is Elder Scrolls: Oblivion . . . just looks hot and considering how much fun I had with morrowind . . . yeah.

Revolution: I'm completely intrigued . . . I think the controller is a rad idea and I'm dying to see how it's implemented. But all final judgements are reserved until I use it myself . . .

PS3: It still hasn't sold me yet, sure it's got the most horsepower and the cel processor, blu ray and perhaps human emotions . . . but between the horrible looking controller, and the lack of exclusive software I'd buy right away . . . meh . . . that and the rumors of it out pricing the 360 have me wary.

But I won't kid anyone . . . eventually I'll own all three

I just hope each system is smart and releases the systems with a good game library (or atleast a few good games). I know X-Box 360 is gonna have Halo 3 coming out so that'll prolly help its sales tons. But from what I can tell... Nintendo and Sony don't have much in terms of games being released as the systems come out. Eventually PS3 will have MG4 which looks hawt ~_~ and I'm sure it'll have some fun things from the creators of Disgaea (I can't remember the company's name). PS3 will also have the PS2 and PS1 games useable on it. Something Nintendo seriously lacks.. the fact you can use old system's games on it. I don't think any Nintendo system (especially ones as of late) are backwards compatable. I think you can use your PS1 and PS2 controllers on the PS3 so I really don't care.. but I don't see a big problem with the PS3 controller.. cause even if it's uncomfortable or sucks.. I can just use my PS2's. And ya.. PS3 will be the most powerful of the three systems allowing for games to have much more freedom in being as good as they can be.

It's been announced that Revolution is backwards compatible with the GC.

as well they are planning on launching a service where you can play games from the NES, SNES and N64 on the revolution.

hmmm.. now that would really boost sales :D

I read (on gamespot i think) that the PS3 controller isnt finalized yet. They probably actually listened to people bitching about the boomerang, which is good.

Also, of course launch lineups are never that spectacular. Thats always the reason I tend to wait a while to buy new systems. I wait for the good games to come out and then I buy whichever system appeals to me most. And luckily my brother will usually buy one of the others, so I can play more than just one system.

Also, anyone know how much the old nintendo games will cost? I dont imagine they will be free, but I'm hoping they arent too much. I'm also thinking that nintendo will release wireless "old school" controllers for use on the revolution. It wouldnt surprise me, and would actually be nice to play an NES game with an NES controller. But I also dont want to have to pay through the ass for controllers either... /sigh I hate being poor.

they are releasing old controllers for the revolution, i think they're being called shells right now. basicly, you plug the remote into the shell, and you have the controller thats still wireless. i'll look for a pic, if i can find it, i'll put it up.

that "shell" looks rediculous though :\

Actually, one of the launch titles for Revolution is the next Smash Brothers games. That alone is enough for me to want to get a revolution on it's release, not to mention I can get all of the old titles that I loved again on one system.

I don't mind the PS3 boomerang. One problem that I had with both the PS2 and the GC controllers were that the grips were too small, they always ended poking into the center of my hands in an uncomfortable way. I always had to buy a Madcatz or other offbrand controller with the larger grips to play comfortably. I'm hoping that the boomerang will be the same way.

A Key Word was missing, Bajaratt.

that shell is just an IGN Mockup . . . it's not endorsed by Nintendo

thought I mentioned that . . .

*edit*

. . . yup

and the solution for a more traditional controller was pointed out at E3 in may

What was the last good online-enabled fighting game? There hasn't been one, you say?

If Nintendo can somehow work servers for a lag-free enough server to satisfy fighting game fans (who, above basically all other genres, demand exact precision) then that's a selling point.
