The banhammer swings again...but lands soft!

lol You think I am calling you out because I can't do it myself? Quite the contrary. I do have the ability to mod my 360 but I don't because I actually respect copyright laws and intellectual property rights. It doesn't matter if you went and bought the game weeks later, or threw the disc out because you didn't like it. It's still illegal and you are still fucking over the people who make these games for a living. Believe all you want that it's only one disc so it doesn't make a difference, but either way it's still shitty how much you think you are better than the average thief.

never said i was better than anyone. but robbing a bank and burning a pirated game are two different extremes. its more like taking candy from a store and not paying.

It's more like taking candy from a store and not paying, then telling everyone how Otis the Watchman is narcoleptic and falls asleep at 3 PM on the dot everyday. For the original pirate, anyway.

also adding to the OP, when i said making it easier for the average user would come soon i didnt mean this soon, in 9 days a chip that makes the hypervisor and timing attack exploit easy is coming out, which makes this process the click of a button...

While you're breaking the law and pirating your games, be sure not to toss any more kittens if they get in your way.

Hey man, i agree that the whole hacking and pirating thing is wrong, but to bring up some personal shit like that? Very low and unlike you in my opinion.

yeah thanks for adding a little more pain to probly the hardest time in the rest of my life, not that i dont feel guilty enough about that anyway. God bless you.

Why don't you go and delete his account too while you're at it?

But either way, there will never be a time i care about what people think about what i do.

Yup. Sure don't care at all.

Not buying the "I want to try it before I buy it" shit. I'm sure you just have spindles and spindles of games burned off onto dvds to play whenever you want to. How many games have you said "Eh, this isn't worth buying" but played through until the end anyway? If you aren't sure whether something's worth buying or not, do what normal people do. Do some research online, find a friend who has it, rent it (gamefly's dirt cheap and you can rent new releases and get them the next day), etc. Don't try to justify piracy because that's hypocritical. Just admit you do it because you want to, not because you feel it's some kind of a given right to be able to.

personally the renting cannot be done, they require a valid credit card on file in order to rent games, which i do not have and will not ever have. They dont accept bank debit cards either, i tried. I dont like going off of other peoples word on a game either because not everyones tastes are the same as mine.
and i wish i could afford spindles and spindles of discs, but DL discs are expensive since the only ones that work for me are verbatims. in total ive burned maybe 20-25 games, and the only copies i still have are ones i own OR special homebrew copies like the many guitar hero 2 custom editions.
how many games have i thought sucked and played through to the end? honestly? ZERO, my gamerscore for those games would show that easily since it ends very early on for the story mode achievements, every game that ive done alot of achievement work in, i went and paid for, i generally play through the first or second chapter before i decide if its worth it yet, if it is ill play till i get the money to go buy it which is usually every other friday. I never said its justified in any way, i dont do it because i just want to, i do it because its my personal most convenient way.

out of context, if people wanna complain or "try" to down me for it, who cares.
if the get interested in it and wanna know more, then thats cool. tho this is the only place ive ever been to that ive heard complaints, IRL no one cares what i do or makes a big deal about it.

I dunno about your stateside Blockbusters, but the Canadian (or at least Albertan) ones only require a secondary piece of ID. They don't even take your credit card numbers down or anything like that.

If you get your rocks off when people are impressed by what you do, then you do in fact care what other people think about what you do, that's the only point I was trying to make.

In regards to piracy... I don't really care if people pirate, but if they try and say they're entitled to it, or it's NOT illegal... well, then you're a moron, and dead wrong. And yes, modding your x-box to "demo" games is still piracy.

B.Busters in the states require a credit card to rent 360/PS3/Wii games. At least the ones in MN do.

never said it wasnt piracy, it clearly is. But i still dont care what people who dont like it think about it either way, its like a game you like that no one else likes except a handful of people, you agree and get along with those who like it and dont care what the ones who dont like it think about it.

and in ohio they require credit card on file, i had one but cancelled it and it was on file and i rented a few games, but when i cancelled the card they said it had to be a valid credit card on file and i can only rent movies...havent been back since. Thats when i decided to flash my box. The only place i know i can rent without credit is a local video store where i know the owner, but her games are very very limited and usually not games anyone wants anyway lol.

Im setup at blockbuster on a debit card.
