The Colbwa Experience.

All in all, there is NOTHING to appreciate about him. Why? He won't give you the time of day unless he feels like it, yet he expects so much of others after the way he treats them. Anyone who hasn't /blisted him, do so. Trust the good people on this one. Trying your best to bring out his good side is wasted effort

What he said, word for word. This is that one case you really could take the word of the people of QCDN without doubt.

I only had one experience but it was enough to make me say "I'm never grouping or helping this person EVER."

I was a 23 samurai in delk tower, he was a 23ish thief in my party pulling giants. We're doing so so and I noticed colbwa didn't use SA-fastblade for SC but red lotus blade. It wasn't a huge deal really but I pointed out you'll get a muhc better WS and SC by closing a SC with SA fastblade. I said something pretty much exactly like this. "May I recommand SA+fastblade instead of red lotus blade for such and such reasons?"

I definitely wasn't hostle or anything in how I said it, infact I was quite polite about it. Next thing this mr know it all says is "STFU" And then preceeded to bitch and whine about me for 15 minutes. All the party members got sick of it agreed that the leader should boot him and he agreed. Then she tried to MPK us with giants, but we managed to kill them off with 2hr and no deaths.

She STILL kept sending me tells for the reminder of my xp party. Later on she said she was sorry, but I figured it was one of those selfish sorrys to not feel so guilty. I never wish to encouter him again...

Oh and this: Colbwa 'Who are you to tell me how to play?'

My only experiance with Colbwa was a few days after hearing how he accused everyone in the LS i am in of being gil sellers. I was hanging out in Port Jeuno talking to a friend of mine that I have know for a while. I dont remember exactly how it went but it was something like this...

Colbwa> Dont give her anything, you will never see it again.
Me> I dont care what you say, you think im a gil seller
Colbwa> Whats wrong with being a gil seller?
Me> ...
Clobwa> Anything you can do to her please tell me and ill do it. I hate her alot more than most people.
Me> shut up and grow up.

Then the very next day i get this tell...

Colbwa> Cn you help me with mission 5-1?
yea... i didnt bother to respond.

Ive heard many bad things about Colbwa, but this was the only time ive ever had to talk to him, and it was enough for me :roll:
 
People like Colbwa are nothing new and they are not nearly as original as they think they are. All they crave is attention, the best thing that can be done about them is give them no attention and they'll piss off. Threads like this merely make them feel they've been successful at attracting the attention they are looking for. The best thing we can do is blacklist and forget about them. Eventually they'll quit.

Let's see. I was in a alliance doing Eco-Warrior and I was with Colbwa. He actuly wasn't that bad, but kinda annoying.

One time I was in Jeuno, and he randomly shouted "<t> is a gil seller!"

I asked him for proof and he didn't give me any. :roll:
 
I really can't say much about the poor soul other than I feel sorry for him for having what I'm guessing is a shallow, meaningless life for him to think belittling and torturing others in a video game will make him some kind of god in its world. I ignore him whenever he's around and starts his shit with me. I think he throws out the gil seller bit at everyone he doesn't like, which is strange since his Jeuno mule (Imsellingshiz) is usually defending such practices whenever he's doing his shouting bits in Lower Jeuno. I'm waiting for his Windy mule (Yyy) to do something stupid as well. Just ignore him and this wannabe king will realize he's only a subpar jester.
 
lol We all know Colbwa not that nice but some ppl still like him, b/c of his gil thing. But not sure how a lvl 56 thief can be that rich, unless he is a customer of SkyGive.
 
First time i heard of him was on alla, the thread where he admitted to buying gil, then claimed he was high lvl crafter and his whole ls was high level crafters and made more money than everyone.

One day he asks for help, i tell him no cause he buys gil, he starts bitching at me.

One day i was in windy and colbwa does a shout that hes giving away a scroll of silence.

i shout: Do us all a favor and use it yourself.

he shut up

One day he randomly called me the worst crafter ever.

During another of our "conversations" he told me he says he said he bought gil cause thats what he wants everyone to think. and how everyone is stupid for believing him.

I reply: if you admit you lie, then why would i believe him on this

he shut up

The other day he did a shout that i was gil seller after i did a shout offering a sniper ring for sale.

I shout: And you are my number one customer.

he shut up.

It is funny cause all me and my friends do is talk shit to each other, 24/7 its a clowning session, all he has is lines that everyone uses on him while they give him wedgies and dump him in the garbage can.
 
No lie. This guy is a complete waste of space.

I was in Deniro's linkshell, Equilibrium when I started the game. I got along with most of the linkshell well. I used to hang out with Kinkkerbelle . . . of which I don't talk to anymore for my own reasons. Well, Colbwa used to follow us and bother her everywhere we went. He kept trying to get into the linkshell from what I understood. Colbwa is an annoying horrid person. Everytime I see him say something in Jeuno I get disgruntled, remembering how big of an annoyance he is. You know, Square Enix should come read our forums, by the time their done, I don't think they'd even want to let him play anymore >_>. Money or not.

If all the morons and assholes who played this game were mailing you a check every month to play... would you ban them?

Face it my brothers and sisters... these people are here to stay. I've had my run ins with Colbwa also. I've also met a lot of people in real life who act the same way. I think it keeps things interesting. Did you know that psycologically, humans relate with one another more over things they hate, not things they like? It's assholes like this that keep the rest of us together, no matter how much you hate them. Would the game be better without them? Hell yeah! But another "Colbwa/Batchporu type" would just step foreward to take thier place.

Firestreak is right. It's ok to not like them, but it's best to just ignore them. Everytime you flame him your only fueling his fire. Do you really think by telling this character "You're an asshole!" he might stop, and think to himself... "wow, I really am an asshole... "

...not gonna happen. :?
 
Before I posted this response to checked some past posts you know, just to see what people were saying. And to my shocking surprise (semi sarchasm) there was many a flame about our favorite member. The bottom line is he is never gonna change, ever. I've never seen people like this in RL, mind you I'm 17 so I havn't seen much I suppose, and it baffles me how(or why) he acts this way. Maybe if we did I might beat his face in, idk but it's a pleasant thought ^^. Anyway I'm done with guy. I'll leave the rest up to you all.
 
OK, I havn't been checking my own post ina while. And people in the game are waving to me, and telling me they read my post.

I'm upset at the people who post that we should ignore him. This post isn't about flaming on him. it's actually a post to figure out what his deal is, and help him. I thought this person does have a good side, cause of my first few experiences, and now he has become an asshole. I told a lot of people this is why i posted this. But now people are telling me, "There is no good in him, trying to help him is a waste of time"

Anyway my first experience was rather pleasent.

I was a lvl 55 pld at the time, and I was trying to lvl blm to lvl 17 so i can get warp. I was at Lv 7 blm now and soloing was getting hard. So i send a shout out in Bastok Markets, "Does anyone wanna party with a Lv 7 blm" Then i get a /tell from Colbwa, a Lv 18 thf. He says,"I'll help you, come to the AH"
So, i get to the AH and there he is, and he /checks me. He stands around the AH and /tells me, "Im not here to PL (power level) you, I'll help you get started" So, im like "......OK'
Colbwa: What weapon do you use?
Me: Staff
Colbwa: So what's your tnl(To next level)?
Me:1k
Colbwa: So how do you like the game, Are you gonna get married?
Me: its good, and no i don't think im gonna get married ina game.

Ok, so the next thing i know he gives me a staff i already have, even though he checked me like 5 times. He treated me like im a new player, but in a polite way, and kept using parenthesis in every abreviation thinking i dont know what they mean.. I don't think he saw that i had a sub-job and my rank was 5. But, we were talking and my dad comes all pissed telling me its late. So i log off as fast as I can, and /tell Colbwa,
"btw im a lvl 55 pld, and rank 5 lol"
Colbwa: {Congratulations}
And then I log off laughing my ass off, and happy cause i made 1k off a staff i already had.

There not such a bad person eh.? In a later post, I'll tell you how he started to become an asshole to me. Also, send a post about times with Bwa, not just Colbwa. And no more posts about ignoring him, and that its hopeless. I talk to my dad, who is the boss of his own company, and i'm trying to use the skills he teaches me, because he had to take a class on how to handle with people. I thought i could give it try, because ill one day take my dad's place.

I can see you good intentions shining upon us all, but I will continue to post as I please and people will continue to agree with me.

I can assure you that there are no lines forming to "help" Colbwa.
He simply doesn't deserve it. The majority of us deserve genuine apologies from him. Even still, what good is a line in the sand if you keep redrawing it? He crossed that line with plenty of people, so I reitterate, FUCK THAT GUY.


If he was nice to you, and you feel like investing time into figuring him out and helping him, more power to ya. Have fun with that. <insert thumbs down emoticon and make a farting noise>

Awesome. If I could rate up here, you would have just won the jackpot.

I've had one experience with Colbwa, and honestly it wasn't a bad one. He invited me to a party in Qufim with my nin... I think. It might've been to Boyadha with my war... I have no idea (I'm an idiot). I was skeptical to accept, but I really needed the exp for some reason or another, so I figured I'd give it a shot... I mean, I had partied with Roofie previously and had no problems whatsoever, so I figured I'd give Colbwa his chance.

Anyways, the party wasn't outstanding but it certainly wasn't terrible; there wasn't a single smartass comment (actually not a single comment at all) out of Colbwa or anyone for that fact. This was about a month or so ago, but I have no complaints.

Keep in mind that was one single encounter, and s/he didn't say a single word the entire time.

Thats a rude fucker. There was a time like 5 days ago but there was someone shouting that they needed help farmin yag necklaces cuz there highest jobs was a 30 whm. In the shout I ended up mentioning that I got my fame done in 90min -105 min. He says im full of shit and bets me 500k that I cant get 160 neckaces in that time frame. I then tell him that there was alot of other things that factored in like I quiet a bit of tenshudo fame already. and I was farmin them at 12-1am when there wasnt many ppl farming them. So I accept the challenge and head out there and all of a sudden he says Im already 30 min in cuz this prick is counting all the time we been talkin shit in windy. So theres a small arguement that Im sayin he cant start time till I there and it was afternoon so there was more ppl on than 12-1 am. And he says thats no excuse Im trying explain that theres more ppl farming them then when I did it. Eventually he says fuck it and leaves cuz he tryin to change up the bet at the last min and I wasnt having that. I know that maybe somewhat trivial compared to some other ppl experience with him but I can say one thing is he is a fuckin asshole. I shouldnt hav ewasted my time with it but it wasnt much time so wasnt no major lose to me but now I know who not to fuck with in the future
 
First time I heard of/met Colbwa was pretty much same time as Eili. He was harassing the LS (At the time, MithraPride; later to be known as HeavenScent, later to be some other LS I didn't get invited to / wouldn't join if I was bribed..)

Anyhow, he seemed to enjoy stalking Lavi+Kea. A lot. He harassed others members of the LS, a lot. And he swore...my god how he swore.
I was damned with the fact that he was in the THF AF (hat?) party I helped with today (did NOT-NOT-NOT help him, only the other two THFs). After the first two, went something like..

Colbwa: What the f-!k I lost gamble
Party: You still haven't done your gamble?
Colbwa: I hate you
Colbwa: Dammit f-!k damn lost gamble again
Colbwa: I need egg
Colbwa: HELP ME GET EGG
Party: Go kill lizards
Colbwa: Come kill lizards so I can get egg
Colbwa: Stop holding up pt and help me get f-!king egg!



ANYWAYS....he hit on me...and he seems to think I'm Japanese and/or don't understand English (because my gear, or something?)...at the very, very least, he thanked the people who stayed for him..but meh..

I was there for that, and then a lil later him and some guy got into it about people not liking him and the other guy being broke. The one guy
replied he just conserves money and doesn't spend it. Stupid stuff that's all.
 
Mish, I did all that AF2 bonnet crap on my own and didn't bother anyone but LS mates for the NMs. You come prepped to lose some rolls. I didn't beat all gobbies till my 4th try. Even then the score was like 118 to 117. :lol:

You can get all the required items within the zone. So what's his excuse for being a shithead at random? :?

To those that have the soft hearts, why bother with someone that can be nice 5% of the time. It does one thing to your reputation if you have a spat with one person in /tells, another in /p, and another in /sh.
He's gone off in all modes of chat, so clearly that's not stopping him. The few people that haven't had a terrible time have simply caught the guy in a rare moment where he's not fucking with people for no reason.

He's not evil, he's just a prick.

We all KNOW he could've gotten the items within zone, but we also thought he'd already done the gambling part. Little did we know we'd be standing at the ??? fer forty minutes while he went and killed lizards for more eggs..

And about the whole "soft hearts" thing, [insert chest comment here], but you already knew that. :wink: There's only a handful of people I won't help if they simply ask, even if I hate them, sortof a weakness of mine I guess. (handful being, I WAS gonna actually help Colbwa because I was in that good of a mood, til he started Turetting-out on the party, then I chose not to; only other people I've actually refused to help for no reason are gilsellers, so.. =P)
