The concept around QCDN is actually a really good idea. People had to really fuck it up and act like it was a joke and ruin it for shit tons of people.

for all the ridiculous nature of Bored at Work and all its threads, I tried for a long time (ask Miros) to get it under control and end some of the silly behind-the-backtalk that was going on. I ended up making it publicly-viewable to stop it, and guess what happened after that? The place just about dried up lol.

Last, but not least...

Here's the problem. The game is filled with douches. This is a forum for them to collaborate. The douches.

QCDN is full of oversensitive pansies these days. I don't know if that fag in baby blue (<3 Miros) is handing you all estrogen pills or what, but seriously, come the fuck on. What the fuck does being a former staff member have ANYTHING to do with telling you to quit kissing Bootz's ass? He'd probably tell you himself if he could hear you through his beard. Or if he gave a shit about what someone like you had to say on QCDN. I'm not putting you on ignore because never to this day have I ever put someone on ignore.

You two are prime examples of why this site sucks. Lets get into some of the lines from the intro. Its obvious one of the reasons the sites on its decline is because the game is as well. Once upon a time this community revolved around FFXI, but its grown past that since then. Therefore, the game declining isn't the most major reason beyond this board's failure.

I think we should just go straight to the top to the ever absent Reeve. The same guy that pokes his head in the staff area once every six months and more or less says "Hey guys, keep up the good work. I just popped in to tinker around with things and I fucked it all up. I'm sure you can fix it! L8ers" I'm sorry, but if I'm the owner of something whether its a business, a website or even a car you can bet your ass I'm going to be hands on with it and I'm going to know exactly how its operating. What doesn't work is leaving it up to a couple of people that you don't even know well.

Moderation has been a major problem since day one and still continues to be. At least back in the day, before me even, moderators were selected based on behavior. I seriously have no idea what the fuck went through Arc's head that said "Linhjah would make a good liason." I used to think the same about Tristam at first but I think he's done an alright job. If anything, he maybe started out with the same problem Myrrh had. You can't have someone be a moderator at any level if no one ever, EVER takes them seriously. Myrrh's my buddy, btw, and I have said this too him before I ever said it to anyone else.

Linhjah's a real gem though. In my social group, I was told that all mods, from Admins to Dirt, were able to go in and read whatever, whenever. I'm sure some of you out there still love the old system with private forums. I did too. I know some of you hated the fact admins could go in there and read your shit, but hey, just email each other. I was a fan of that system. Anywho... I invited all the varying mods that are current to my social group, knowing that they would accept. I wanted all members in my group to be clear that all mods would see anything they say. This indeed was a confusing thing because this particular liason wasn't even aware of what her own privelages were.

Pretty good job. You started out as a super busy body trying real hard to make sure everyone knew you had some power on the site. Deleting things left and right. Its a cool feeling, isn't it? I mean, I thought I looked too hard for things to do, but you really took the cake and it sure seems like you still do. I greatly appreciated your first comment in my social group to be about guzzling cum. Don't you ever think that shit gets old? I really wonder if Arc sat there scratching his head saying "Well, she posts about 125 times a day, she talks like a pervert all day and rarely shows maturity, her and her husband love to fuck people over in game.. I think she'd be a great Liason!"

I'm sure people want an example. Linhjah talks a great game. Oh, I remember those days talking to you before I joined DynamisHeretics when Encore ended and I was bringing 7 others along with me, with more to follow. One of those first 7 was Jamal, upon who's name being heard, your husband (who thought he was an officer) said "If he joins, I'm leaving!" Peace, Meth. Anyone who mattered in that shell said it was better without you anyway. But good ol' Linhjah stayed and expressed her excitement for us to join. For one run.

Thanks for leaving after our first run there, sport, and completely villainizing me to a completely new shell where the only people I knew were the ones that came with me. Those big open welcoming arms turned into a swift slap in the face. You really did care about that shell. That wall you constructed after that run between my people and your members had it written all over it. I can never thank you enough, you piece of shit twat. GG on you and Meth weaseling your way into taking over SV too. Glad you could at least help him get what he wanted.

I guess it doesn't matter much. DH turned to the ways of being a little upgrader unfriendly and due to an argument with Morwen (that was way more personal than anyone can fathom happened), it was time for me to go. To the officers, including you, thanks for allowing me to be an officer even though my opinion never mattered simply because I didn't use ventrilo, because we all know great success in FFXI starts at the Big V. It never had anything to do with consistently having 50 members at a run. What a crock of shit. A bunch of stoners taking dynamis, the most retarded and overplayed event in FFXI, so serious to the point that you'd think you were heading into Normandy. Its not rocket science especially when all your "strategist" does is copy/paste dynamisbums.com.

I have to say, Morwenny, you were probably the worst mod to work with. Whatever stuff that happened outside of QCDN and FFXI between us had no bearing on how much you just hated me as a Global Mod, lol. You guys have no idea. I was probably the first mod that got flamebaited in a report by another moderator. If Iso never fucked up and went emo after fucking up Dynamis Scheduling, you were going to go, not her. The reason being is because of your "my shit doesn't stink" attitude that you carry around QCDN. The same one you carried around in DH.

Hey, I'll be the first to admit, I was far from a perfect mod. Especially all the scheming Miros and I did during our pool hall drinking sessions. How many of you know that in a three way MSN conversation, it was Miros, Jamal and myself that encouraged him to make Sixpack? I still laugh when I think about how Kayleen and Darsha figured something out that they thought no one else could tell. Come on, lol. I will defend the reasons behind it til the day I die. This site's always needed people like Peregrine, Jamal and Meeze to survive. I'll go as far to even say Vang. Not that I didn't like him, but I just never really knew him well. Oh and the rep system? I was the most instrumental person in getting rid of that. You're welcome.

B@W... god, where to start. I used to think TG was one of the worst on here until I realized that he really did try to put you pussies in your place. So much shit talk behind the scenes from assholes like Lucki, the most useless person on this site, and Kotsu. This may come as a shocker, but I owe Kotsu something. He told me once that I need to quit taking things so serious on here. Well, it was a solid piece of advice. I still don't like the guy but I have no problem admitting he was right. Just like he admitted I was right in suggesting Raidrx get fired. (See Jyakotsu's sig.) Looking back, I realize how pointless and what a waste of time it was trying to please this clusterfuck of a userbase.

For a while I ate, slept, and breathed FFXI and QCDN. I did get really serious into all this shit. Its no secret MMOs and all the BS that comes with them can eat you up if you're not careful and it happened to me for a while. Some of the things I've done definitely bettered the site and some of the things I'll admit maybe turned things in a different direction that didn't come out as positive as hoped. Oh well though. I tried and I stuck true to my word that the only admin I would ever work for was Miros. When he left, I left. No offense, Makelith, lol. You're my homey. Let me know when you're old enough to drink. :/

I honestly don't miss many of you. I don't even play much anymore, but quick shoutout to those I've become friends with that never let that "out of sight, out of mind" shit get to us that typically happens. Rappa (Graceland, woo!), Jamal (NYC!), Kairiboo (I'll look you up when I visit Kat somewhere between Oct and May!), Arturus, Nae, Ken, Meeze, Masa, Zyn, TG, Myrrh, Proce, Miros. Haven't seen Myihta in a long time. And Morwen never calls me anymore. Ah well.

I have a whole bunch more material, but for now I need to do things like shower, eat and have a few brews. Enjoy this shit for now.

As for the rest, as I stated privately I can't even tolerate most of this site anymore. I usually just read it in passing and don't bother posting anymore. It was fun back in the day, but not anymore. I'll just stick to the user groups and make a public post every week or so in hopes that things improve. Not holding my breath though.

I really like the private groups that Dino and I made. Those people aren't there, so I don't have to think "wtf is going on in this topic".
