CubsWoo said:The difference between a Dynamis shell and an HNM shell is that Dynamis happens twice a week at set times, plus or minus 2 hours in each direction for the most part. HNM shells may require 4-7 days of camping at flexible hours which usually include late nights and being available for most/all of a 3 hour window each time. I don't think Dynamis/HNM shell comparisons are valid.
But then again I don't really have any interest in Dynamis or endgame/HNMs so maybe my opinion isn't all that valid, I don't know. To me, only a few items that come out of endgame would come close to justifying the time spent making my bones in an established shell to 'earn' them and the ones that are part of the risk/reward equasion (BB, Ridill basically) are such that even if I feel 1-2 years of seniority in a shell is a valid amount of time to wait I don't really trust a shell to stay active long enough for me to hit that status.
Then there's staring your own shell but... yeah.
A lot of my post also spoke on doing events with your social shell. Besides camping HNM, there is no big difference with most level 75 socials.
My social has done rostrums, shen, pantie raids, etc etc, planning on doing some HNMS?(new level 80+ NMs), swift belts, dobson flies, and a variety of other pop NMs. My sky shell did those exact same things, along with doing sky twice a week. End game shells do those exact same things, along with camping HNMs when they can.
End-game shells are socials that camp HNM. Not some slave driven conglomurate out to rule the world. That is why most shells want you in their shell all the time, because they want the social atmosphere. It isn't that fun to see some random person you see 6 hours a week getting an item that is cool. That includes dynamis. When I don't know someone, it is hard to actually be happy for them, there is a certain level gladness, but not a feeling like when my friend i met as a level 10 galka whm/war getting his nobles.
It was a cool thing that the social I am in was closely linked to an end-game shell, because I could enjoy the company of everyone I knew in both places. It wasn't random folks thrown together that meet up at 6pm on thursdays and sundays to do gods.
