Also, I'd rate you up, Alanon, but I must first spread some reputation around...

Genuine short people :3

Interestingly enough, I would normally put the fault of our current energy "crisis" on the democratic party, and technically, it is mostly thier fault. But I started to think: Changes in the auto industry are finally happening. Detroit is finally realizing, that in order to stay in the game they have to stop relying on the heavy SUV market, and really... I mean really begin to develope safe, reliable and economical alternative fuel using vehicles. It's all starting to look like it's going in that direction finally, and I'm not certain you can champion this to the pig headedness ways of the Libral Democrats, but I'm sceptical to say Detroit would have taken these steps so seriously if it weren't for the higher fuel prices.

I'm not so sure this thread is where this post belongs, but I thought it should be more prevailant in the upcoming debates between the two majour parties.

It is a proven fact that virtually every US President throughout history is directly related to the British Royal Family. Just go to Google or Wikipedia and have a look at the genealogies of the US presidents and you'll find that their bloodlines lock in to the British Royal family. In fact, these very families have been ruling over the UK and USA for centuries. What does that mean for you and me?... Well it means, for example, that no matter who your are, you have virtually no chance of becoming a president or a prime minister unless you are directly related to the UK Queen. Though it can count in your favour if you happen to be a high ranking member of a secret society like the Freemasons, Bilderbergers or the Trilateral Commission. Tony Blair and his "oppo-same" David Cameron are BOTH Freemasons and they are BOTH directly related to the Queen. Need I say more?

The vast majority of European royal bloodlines are related primarily due to inbreeding because of class-restricted marriage.

If you go back far enough, you can show that almost *anyone* is related. This does not mean there is some conspiracy.

For example, Dick Cheney and Barack Obama are related:

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21340764/

WASHINGTON - Though they may spar across the political aisle, Vice President Dick Cheney is close enough to Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama to call him “cousin.”

Eighth cousin, that is.

Lynne Cheney, the vice president’s wife, revealed this tantalizing bit of political trivia during a television interview Tuesday.

She said she uncovered the long-ago ties between the two while researching her ancestry for her latest book, “Blue Skies, No Fences,” a memoir about growing up in Wyoming.

“This is such an amazing American story that one ancestor ... could be responsible down the family lines for lives that have taken such different and varied paths as Dick’s and Barack Obama,” Lynne Cheney told MSNBC.
According to her spokeswoman, Sen. Obama, D-Ill., is a descendent of Mareen Duvall. This French Huguenot’s son married the granddaughter of a Richard Cheney, who arrived in Maryland in the late 1650s from England, said Ginny Justice, a spokeswoman for Lynne Cheney.

ANYWAYS, if you haven't seen it yet, do yourself a favor and check out this funny video:

In my opinion, Barack Obama is an excellent choice for President. He is well-educated and well-spoken. He has great ideas and conveys the charm and diplomacy to unify the nation. Barack is not only a African decent, but also he is most qualified candidates of the election. Also he has strong ideas for changing the nation from incompetent mismanagement of Bush.

Anybody else not wickedly wild on McCain's choice for VP?

I feel like this is sort of a move of desperation. I think Obama scared him last night and this is a knee-jerk reaction, albeit a tactical one, to the responce from the convention. What better way to split the Democrats again than to pick up what they started but could not finish(getting a woman in the white house).

Also she is pro-life, and that is not going to help her pick up many of the female voters that are so highly contested right now. If the democrats were smart they would pound that point into the ground.

*edit* I also love how he says that Barak is not experienced enough and he picks someone even younger and less experienced for his VP*

Maybe, but man, there are a lot of women that are a lot more qualified I think. Her lack of experience bugs me. The pro-life thing does not bug me as his VP most likely would have been pro-life regardless.

I am dreading the upcomming election more and more every day....

Its definatley not consistant with what he has been saying. He bashes Barack for no experience, then does this. Not a great move. I can understand this move on one side, but it utterly confuses the crap out of me on the other.

I will say this, McCain's timing is impeccable. No one is talking about Obama's speech last night.

I think I'm going to start promoting a Biden/Palin. I may vote for that over the two tickets in front of me....

Great move by McCain. He'll pull some Hilary voters now. She has a lot of great views and she's accomplished a lot at an early age. It also hurts Obama's arguement about McCain saying he doesnt want to change. By getting a female, McCain is saying he wants "change" as well.

When she debates the hardass Joe Biden, she'll get even more support.

Honestly, I don't get the whole inexperienced stance people keep saying about her. People are talking like Obama has a lot of experience. The fact is, he doesnt either, and he's running for President, not VP.
