Good thing she meets the requirements to get media attention.

1. White.
2. Female.
3. Kind of attractive. (not really).

If it was a black girl, no one would care.

Sorry I have nothing else to add. Like the op said, it's retarded.

At least she didn't die from the flu. Good thing she got vaccinated.

It's possible it triggered a pre-existing condition. But honestly, 1 in a million chance, I wouldn't be as concerned.

I personally don't get flu shots but if I were a fan, this wouldn't stop me.

Question, was that her first ever flu shot?

Never got the shot in my life...

I may be ignorant but that was always my view on the shot.

Recent events have lead me to believe that the swine flu "pandemic" is largely overblown and i will not be receiving a shot for it. In 1976 there was a simular panic and the vaccine that was made ended up giving 500 people Guillain-Barré syndrome and killed 30 others. I know that is not a lot but as far as im concerned the risk reward is just not there for me yet.

The swine flu at this time is seeming to be about the same as the seasonal flu, which dont get me wrong sucks but unless your old, young or sickly you are going to survive it with no complications. The flu shot on the other hand was rushed through production, largely untested, and has a is based upon the same flu shot that caused all the problems in 1976.

Ill take my chances with the flu.

I asked some doctors about the shot. Some are all for it, and others do not advise it. So far the H1N1 does not have a worse death rate than the normal flu. It does seem to have a higher rate of pneumonia, which is what actually kills the people. There is also a number of people who WILL get H1N1 from the shot itself. Just like people who get the flu shot....then get the actual flu from it. It is "SUPPOSED" to make you not get as sick. Yet there will be people who will get sick and die from the shot. Also as with most illnesses yes the young/old/ill/pregnant do have a higher deathrate. This has to do with their bodies defenses, not the illness.

In the end it is more a personal choice. Do you want something that has been rushed? They are still trying to mass produce it. Or skip it and take your chances? Only thing that bothers me is the rushing. You never know who will try to scam it by watering down or even placing false vaccines to make money off the panic. Watch them blame hard economic times.

I'm not taking it. Not because of the video, but because the swine flu is no worse than a normal flu. The media is painting it up at the worst thing in the world, just like they did with Polio.

Besides, it contains Quicksilver. Normally it is forbidden to use quicksilver in vaccines, but they disregard it for this "because they need this it to prevent a pandemic".

so far , very few who came this year hajj season and even hotels are empty
, all fear the flu , guess ill do the hajj this year

same thing with torrets, how come they dont blare out anything but curse words? i wanna see some facts.

Tourette syndrome has nothing to do with shouting curse words, much like Schizophrenia has nothing to do with split personality.

I've already got cancer, so I'm not worried about a little bit of flu.
Plus, thiomersal can kiss my ass.

I have to get a flu shot more out of safety for other family members than anything, so i don't really fight it. My Aunt has a pretty severe case of MS. With all her medications, if she were to get the flu, there is a good chance that she would die. So every year the whole family gets the shot.

My mom has a severe case of Multiple Sclerosis also. She and my Dad get the shots. I used to get the shot till it made me so sick the drs wanted to put me in the hospital when I was 17. I didn't have an 'allergic' reaction to it. It just lowered my already low immune system to where I got sick and stayed sick.

If I don't get it I'll get the flu 2-4 times during the season, and Mom and Dad don't get sick from me being sick. If I do get the shot I'm sick for the next 4-6 months and usually end up with pneumonia.

Like Keryan said...its a personal choice. You have to weigh everything and make the choice that is best for yourself.

I'm terribly sorry to hear about your families cases of MS. My 'grandpa' had it bad, and died of MS, and it was no fun. But, the good news is they've really been working on treating it since then. I hope they get better.

Same here... My grandmother has MS and she is not doing well. I know how it's going to end up, it's just a matter of when. Still trying to accept it.

For those not taking the SF shot because you believe there is a pandemic being stated when there is no pandemic, good. For those who are going to take the shot because of it, understand flu deaths among those who have been "vaccinated" and those who have not taken the shot have increased proportionally by 60% and the sample studies have not shown otherwise.

When discussing quicksilver or mercury being used in the vaccinations, it's actually thimerosal that contains the traces to preserve the vaccination which the FDA has been trying to push out of the market.

It's not forbidden, yet. GKS the company that asked the government for a waiver was actually filing for amenity from lawsuits. So, technically that girl who was "fucked up" in the OP's video can't sue if thimerosal is found to be the responsible ingredient that caused her condition.

I'm not taking the shot for H1 or regular flu simply because I don't want to. Not because I don't care about those around me or because it contains trace amounts of mercury. Flu vaccinations have been proven to be useless in the elderly and those with healthy immune systems. I eat a ton of seafood which will probably beat out any amount of quicksilver in any vaccine. I believe the shot only works in those who don't need it.

For those really nitpicking, believing the flu vaccination gives you even a .01% higher chance of survival, and are getting it because of that, know that the thimerosal preservative in every vaccination you take gives your offspring ~.01%+ chance of having autism. Silly isn't it.

Cort : I hope you're successful with your battle.

Question: If I contracted H1N1 during the whole scare whatever back in April/May, should I even bother with this shot?

As for the girl, it's a sad story, but what really gets me is that video:
"Doctors say her condition shoul(unexplainable cut) discourage people from getting the flu shot."
What.

I believe you should be fine, but it'd be a good idea to ask someone with like a Doctor/Nurse.

I've always thought that exposure to a particular strain of flu virus will protect you against that strain in the future. So I don't know that if you already had H1N1 the shot would be helpful. There are certainly reasons to get flu shots as some here have already expained.

On the other hand, there are a zillion different flu virus strains and they continue to mutate. Which is one reason why I don't bother getting flu shots. Obviously, as Cort said, you should consult with your doctor.

Well there was a death here again. A young healthy boy, he was a hockey player.

The details are a bit lacking in the case but his parents were probably the half that weren't overly concerned about this flu.

Now here's what my doctor explained to me, the regular seasonal flu shot could actually promote the HINI. I'm not 100% on how as she tried to explain it to me but what I got out of it was basically the regular flu shot is aimed towards one strain and this swine is obviously stronger and of different make-up it somehow latches itself easier.. something like that. Forgive my lack of understanding!

Like I said previously I do not get flu shots, but I like to ask questions. She also suggested against the HINI shot. Just to watch for symptoms.

I'm still waiting for more info on the 13 year old. Something seems fishy to me if he was sick over the weekend, but then drops dead on Monday. Even the health officials say that death from H1N1 in a healthy young person is rare.

Here's what I don't understand -

They say that young people are mostly affected by this flu, especially young women. They seem to have the worst of the flu, and the 28 deaths in April have an avergae age of 55. However, the flu shot clinics target groups are people with chronic medical conditions under the age of 65, healthy children from 6 mos to 5 years, care providers to people who cannot be immunized, health care workers and pregnant women. School age children, teens and adults are not on the list yet they're more likely to get and spread the flu, and are more likely to be compromised by the illness.

And its only open to the public after the priority groups get vaccinated, and if there is vaccination left over.
