The Hydra...

If you noticed with SqaureEnix over the years. They want to become the mythology in a way, they have adopted so much from ancient mythologies it's quite impressive, yet easy way to make new appealing games/ideas, it'll keep on going untill the company finally dies out once Final Fantasy 18 is released!

maybe its gotta be killed with a fusion sc and mb?

Hmmm, {scission} to cut it off and {fusion} to seal the wound?

Not a bad idea. A NM that requires SC to beat. Im pretty sure there are none of those atm.

If so, SAM will be the main beasts at this NM.

Since when have SE kept to mythology? :p

Ever seen Full Metal Alchemist? Know the homunculi on there were "human", and you know that the bst jug that calls a homuculus were of teh mandroga family.

Ever wonder why they weren't shadows since they were made to imitate artificial humans?

Uh doesnt that prove that ffxi is sticking to the true meaning of a homunculus and sticking to the mythological facts. if anything that makes the ffxi one perfectly reasonable. And yeah the FMA ones arent exactly "true" to the myths so i dont know why everyone was arguing that the fma ones were the accurate ones.

Eh? Nope I used FMA as a contrast, since i asked how come Homonculi in FFXI aren't shadows as they are "human" in FMA, since SE has some rights to the anime then they should have screwed up and made the homuculus in FFXI shadows or the closest thing to human or even doomed family.

But they didn't, so its a mandy lol not really an argument, just discussion

Its one example...ok they stuck to it.

Now lemme see Odin's SIX legged horse.

Jormungand is a serpent, they stuck to it in the title he gives, but not what he is.

Kirin is supposed to be a unicorn or some shit.

Shiva is a male.

I'm sure there are many others that SE has changed and altered from the original myth. That was my point.

Quetzalcoatl was a feathered snake.

Not some luminous green thunder bird.

Yeah SE doesnt get alot of Stuff accurate after all they only have so many models and already established ff chiches. Tiamat in babylonian mythology was the sister of bahamut but we dont see that in ff do we? With the small stuff like the homunculi they tend to be more accurate overall.

They don't follow the big myths word for word. Hydra = Big Myth

yeah I know but the whole head growing back animation did leave room for speculation about that kinda thing.

Im not saying SE wont do something with it, but it'll probably either be a CS or something simple >.>
