And hey champ, I make an emotional investment in everyone I meet - has this game had an impact on my life, Yepper! Swishiee came up this summer and we had a grand old time zippin around Alberta with Palum (who I also met in-game) and who I belive is going to come visit again this summer. Went to vegas with Palum in November, drank, danced to dueling pianos and he taught me how to play craps. But GOD FORBID I make an emotional investment in a game not filled with NPCs but with real people....Damn me, damn me to geek hell!

Thats good. Once again, I NEVER said good things wont come out of playing FFXI. Stop defending something I never even said, it looks silly.

You're giving the impression in this thread that everyone who posted can't differentiate a video game from real life because they've had a few incidents that have bugged them in game. That we're all a bunch of fools because we show some level of emotional investment in this SOCIAL game that we've been playing a few years now, and I feel the need to call you on it.

BTW you seem to be the only one getting upset :3

And depressed has a different meaning than depressing. Depressed being a constant state of emotion which one becomes trapped in. Depressing, in the context of this thread, being an incident or thing that can be remotely upsetting that can/but not always lead to a state of depression
