Some might of heard end of this month the new OS is coming out the beat is all ready out as we working on it at college a bit. The full version is named vetr or something (starts with a V) and they might be doing it on a yearly payment, so any one who buys it has to buy it again a year later. So making more money for mircosoft.

Also if you have cracked version of it and log onto the internet then it will be linked to mircosoft updates and if found it is a cracked version, then turn off all system for that PC. Thus making cracks impossable to use. As who will you tell about it?
You>> I got my OS turned off
Mircosoft>> You must of being using a cracked one, see you in court.

Any one else heard more about it?

You mean Windows Vista? lol

I think this is incorrect. NCIX right now is offering a free upgrade to Vista if you buy XP, and there's no mention of needing to pay in the future.

It doesn't matter what they do, there will always be a way to crack it. Always. It'll be cracked and uploaded within a couple of hours of it being released (leaked) to the underground, I can almost promise you that.

Crack out the code that checks for updates.

Done.

You cant make software unpiratable for any meaningfull length of time anymore, because people are just that good at cracking stuff now.

Thats the thing a crack code is easy heck i got 1 put it into any software that needs a number and hit its funtion key and i got the code.

But what i got told is they trying to make a way not to crack it as in you do not have a code but something else. Heck one of the rumors is ID scans. We have some on are laptops if we rent them out. Only you can login from your finger print.

They wouldn't turn enough sales if they introduced biometrics as part of their anti-piracy solution. Still, that would last for all of a few hours before it's cracked too.

It doesn't matter what they do, at all. There will always be a way. They can try to slow the crackers down, they may succeed at that... but they will never stop it.

Hope not if so god some good looking people expect me play ffixi and i thought i was special

Believing that Vista will be uncrackable is possibly the most naive thing I've ever heard.

Plus what rock did you crawl out of, the public beta has been open for months :| Hell, even I have it installed, and thats saying something.

You need to be slapped.

No, that is not my ass. If that was my ass, I'd never be able to type anything at all because my hands would be caressing my beautiful curvy behind 24 hours a day.

It's more possible than you'd think, but the mechanics of doing so would make it rather impractical, on a variety of levels.

Exactly. They can push the anti-piracy envelope a lot farther than it is now, but then a lot less people will be interested in purchasing it because of all the additional loopholes they'll have to jump through just to install and use it.

Microsoft makes more money by allowing home users to pirate their software, and they know it. They're pushing for this to change but they know it's going to be a long, slow, painful process.

There is a ipod file that came out last year was a song .mp4 you could not copy it only move it. it was not able to be cracked to copy it only that file, they gave up and said to record it with a mic next to the speakers and this was from a good crack site

Whoever posted that 'fix' was a friggin retard. Play the song, use a bit-level recorder to write all data on the outbound audio channel to an external wav. Done this with a few licensed songs and it has not failed yet.
