It's simple, go by the reaction the sockpuppet creates.

If the thread turns into a flame, ban the sockpuppet. If the thread is like the Mee Deggi one, tell us who gave us this wonderous sockpuppet so we can give them rate-ups. Either way, expose the sockpuppet's master.
