The Next Expansion

For a blue mage to get the ability though if I remember correctly you had to have the ability done to you then you had to defeat the mob. Then at the end of the fight there was a chance that the blue mage would learn it. They could make rolls that would determine if the blue mage learned the ability or not and they could also make some abilities harder to get. Just think though, like any type of mage is going to withstand a sickle slash at level 46-50, so if they did it like that then blue mage would be awsome and it would not be as easy as everyone thinks that it would be to get all of these abilities.

A bunch of Blue Mage Trial Avatar-Style BCNM in increasing levels 1 BC for every level, 1 mob type for each level, 1 ability per mob. Start off simple with like Goblin Rush, Slam Dunk, Headbutt, and Parry, then get the more useful ones at the end of the game.

Granted, this is all ideas. I'd rather not see a Blue Mage personally, since I have so much fun as BST. This would possibly infringe on the ability for a BST to get a PT(Soloing is an option yeah, but it gets boring)
That would be a neat way to go about getting them.

I would make them TP and MP use though, otherwise you could just spam skills all day with just MP. And it wouldn't really be a mage job without using MP, as well as every other Blue Mage in FF History used MP to use the abilities. Just make the TP vary based on skill(Or level learned), and TP Consumed like during Meikyo Shisui, it only takes that amount.

I haven't even touched the first expansion.....

I'd have to quit work, and live off of gov cheese to get anywhere close to "completing" this game.

Hey don't knock gov cheese! That's some tasty stuff!

A blitzball player class would be pretty freakin funny

I think SAN is coming... SE has been steadily changing how many shadows get consumed by attacks and SAN will become more of a negotiable idea.

Just yesterday I fought goblins and found out that Goblin Rush takes 3 Shadows now... wtf is that... Easy Prey goblins can take down both my timers now if I dont have a WHM hasting me. I dunno how long ago this was added because I dont fight goblins ever but this is a change that definitely reflects the addition of SAN sometime down the road imo.

Utsusemi SAN will prolly be 1-1.5min recast and be 5-7 shadows. And the only place it will be unbalanced is in Ballista...

Most mobs in end game have attacks that take down all shadows as it is so it doesn't matter if you have 1 or 7 they will come down, think Golems Thunder/Ice Break and Weapons Whirl of Rage, or the new Goblin Rush taking 3 shadows and every other AOE.

this was changed two updates ago when they did the nin nerf... i went to the camp in f8 i think it was with a party where i tanked a week ago before that update and was getting fucking owned. not only were they taking 3 shadows on a gob rush, they were doing 350-600 on gob rush if it wore my shadows, and we were getting way higher xp..... later i found out you dont party at 65 there anymore as a nin, its more like 66-67-68  they adjusted mob strengths in bibiki especially since they added all those mobs.... funny, cause before at 63-64 they missed me alot and we (my static) owned them.
