You talk a lot of shit for a team that's not even going to make the playoffs....

Unfortunately my Pats lost big to the Steelers, made a few huge, inexcusable mistakes that just blew the game wide open for the Steelers. It's a real big loss too, now it's going to be very difficult for the Pats to make the playoffs. Either Baltimore has to stumble, or the Jets have to stumble, and either way the Pats basically have to win out.

Oh well, Cassel has performed admirably.

lol so what will that make your team? Dallas has returned to bitch slap your team around, and will take your playoff spot.

Goodluck beating out Atlanta or Tampa for a play off spot. Guess you accomplished as much as the Saints did this season.

Fail. Skins and Pats have the exact same record. And this is the "smack talk" board, right? Name of the board? Right? RIGHT?

Oh yea, except you know: beating the Saints straight up, and having a better record, Right? RIGHT?!

Skins may or may not make the playoffs, but the point I keep pouding out is that Skins have something to play for. Skins can lose another game and STILL make the playoffs.

Teams like the 'Aints with all of these bird doggin, smack talkin fans with overly high expectations..... have no shot.

Lol, I fail, that's totally right.

Smack talk thread or not, you sound like a jackass if you're talking shit behind a team that's having an above average season at best. Redskins are a secondary team for me, I like em, my roommate for the last few years is a big 'Skins fan, so I tend to enjoy watching them. That being said, he's at least smart enough to realize that they're a long shot, and doesn't talk shit to everyone and their mother, just because they have a splendid fantasticly amazing winning record.

Shit.

Doesn't every fan have high expectations before the season? You sure did am I correct? And your team isnt going to make the playoffs just like mine. So yeah, you could go 10-6, not make the playoffs, the Saints could go 7-9 and not make the playoffs, and you know what that means?? Both teams accomplished the same, because if you don't make the playoffs, then nothing matters.

Oh and if you call yourself a football fan, i'm sure you'll be going for my team here on out, you know that paper bag crew? Since your teams playoff chances are in OUR hands HOW DOES THAT FEEL?????? You need us to beat Carolina and Atlanta, since you know..your team no longer controls it's destiny.

hahahaha i expected this sooner to be honest. he tries to talk bad about us before the packers game, but vanishes for a week after we swat them like flies. we get edged out by the bucks and he's on a Rampage again. :P

<3 ya Bry (ya old windbag);)

No problem, its so hard to take my eye off of the Falcons/Panthers game

S'ok, we'd been getting by just barely the two weeks beforehand and we finally faced a team that was playing their A game. Our schedule is only going to get tougher with games against the Buc's and Giants left. If we're going win the Superbowl we'd better start stepping up our game and learning from our past mistakes. These next few weeks are going to either show us that we still have a lot of work to do in the offseason, or that we actually have a shot at this thing.

Shit.

You're so confident the Skins won't make the playoffs, so much so to be a magnificant douche about it. But, if I were you I would wait until the Skins lost at least two more games.

Dallas may very well win only half of their remaining games. And the teams from the NFC South all play each other by the end of the year. If the Skins lose to the Ravens this weekend, which they very well may not since the Ravens have played no one (only decent teams are Miami and Philly) an AFC loss doesn't hurt them at all.

In the meantime, the Skins remaining schedule is Cincinnati, Philly at home, and San Fransisco. Skins could very well win out like they have done for the past 3 out of 4 seasons. If your buddy is a "real" Skins fan he would know that.

So if the Skins are 10-6 which is realistic I think everyone agrees and Dallas is 10-6 with another loss to New York and maybe Philly since they play in Philly who gets that playoff spot with the better conference record???????

:)

So we're not out yet. Our worst case scenario is to lose to Baltimore and Philly which could all happen. But we need to lose two games before you experts count us totally out.

I'm not sayin. Just sayin..

(DISCLAIMER!: Skins make the playoffs, they lose in the first round, like the past two out of three years. I understand that.)

To be fair to the Skins..Dallas does have a tough schedule down the road.

The wild card is coming out of the NFC South.
Edit: Nevermind, I keep forgetting the NFL has two Wild Card spots. I'm still stuck in Baseball season mode apparently...

You're right, both could possibly come from the South. It's a deeper conference.

I feel it should, but the downside in the NFC south is basically going to beat the crap out of itself in the next few weeks, and if Washington wins their games, they can get in.

That's what I've been trying to tell these guys. I'm glad you are logical and understand how the system works.

Yeah. The Chargers can get in if they win all their games too. Same with the Pats. Same with the Dolphins. Same with the Bills.

You pickin' up what I'm puttin' down?

I never once said that the Redskins can't make the playoffs. I just said their odds are very similar to the Pats. They're in the situation that they do NOT control their own destiny. They require one or more teams to not win their games to get in.

Each team has one game left in the division. But two of those teams have 3 losses..even if they go .500 for the last 4 games..they'll still get in over your team. Thats what ive been saying.

16 team playoffs can i have it? I feel this is the year that a potential 2008 Giants or 2004 steelers? may not make the playoffs by just a hair. Just a thought lol

You know, I've been hard on the 'Aints this year. But today, I was a fan.

GO SAINTS! BEAT THE FALCONS! FUCKING RIGHT! YES!!!!!!

Ahem.
