THE OFFICIAL 2008 FOOTBALL SEASON SMACK TALKIN THREAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think the Skins have a long ways to go personally. Jim Zorn isn't a great coach, and your pass Defense is weak as well.

Huh? You pay attention at ALL?

The Skins have the 4th ranked D in the entire NFL. http://www.nfl.com/stats/team

Washington also has possibly the best secondary in all of football. Rogers, Hall, Smoot, Springs, Landry, and Horton???? What league are you watching? The Skins lost 5 of 6 because they couldn't score any points thanks to a bad offensive line, not because of their defense.

The Saints are staring at 8-8 thanks to Carolina, while the Skins can realistically beat San Fran to go 9-7 (crow coming next week?), with a WIN over the Saints. So WHO has a ways to go???

I never said we didnt have a ways to go lol. Also yes I do pay attention and your team in that losing stretch couldn't get off the field when they needed to. Stats don't tell the whole story.

Also we have the same record as you, but yet you think my team is vastly inferior to your team. If we finish 8-8 and your team finishes 9-7...so what? Is that a big difference? Also if your team is so great, why did the Saints lead that whole game till the very end? Why didn't your team just blow the Saints out of the water.

No, you know whats bad? Going 6-2 and MISSING THE PLAYOFFS. That my friend is terrible.

And yes I think my team is closer then yours because I believe the Redskins have terrible ownership. You guys have good talent, but a bunch of terrible overpaid players. Only a blind homer wouldn't admit that team is poorly ran. Everybody knows and everybody says it. Highest payroll in football and nothing to show for it. Coaching, GM, ownership...all bad.

You can come back and say "AND LOL YOU THINK THE SAINTS ARE BETTER? LOLXLXL" In which I respond...yes. We have a better GM, HC, and QB, therefore I believe our future looks brighter.

like i said before, that skins game is one of the only games i wont complain about losing cause it was clean, not circumstantial.

so yes bry i look forward to seeing the Saints play the skins next year, and REVENGE WILL BE OURS! YOU HEAR ME?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

yeah, they said something about that in the Atlanta game too. you forget yourself sir. we playing in the Dome. no NFC south team has lost an in-division home game this season, and we don't plan to break that trend now.

Big difference? Lets see. We are in the NFC East. We also played the AFC North. Our schedule was asshole harder. And again, let's not forget we beat you. Yes, big difference.

And as far as ownership goes? Hasn't Tom Benson moved the 'Aints to San Antonio yet? No? That was almost a bigger disaster then picking Reggie Bush over Mario Williams. Oops.

Also, check your facts, Cowboys payroll > Redskins payroll.

LOL Zalt, if you and Phaba want to be our guest, you're welcome to join Dani and myself for the showdown next year :d

Yes this was the first year Cowboys moved past you in years. And look at the records. NFC East and South have been equal all year so thats a wash you know it.

Also, didnt the redskins lose to some terrible teams? So yeah that strength of schedule didnt matter considering you lost the Bengals and Rams lol.

Also....why am I arguing with you over this? It makes no sense as both of our teams missed the playoffs and both suck...it's like we're arguing over whose team sucks worse lol.

LOL it means we care. I dont hate you, and I think you don't hate me. That's why this is called the smack talkin board.

Nah it's all good lol. Smack talk is fun, just more fun when your team is actually in the big picture... /sigh but then again I am a Saints fan and I'm used to this!

I think Detroit has taken the "PBC" from us though. All there fans were wearing them against use Sunday (pretty sure it was coincidence since the saints started that)

Brydan I don't get why you're suckin the NFC East dick so much over the NFC South dick. The NFC South is top-to-bottom at least as good as the NFC East if not better.

I completely disagree. But we will find out a lot when the south and east play in 2009.

They are equal. Carolina/Giants, Atlanta/Cowboys, Philly/TB, Saints/Redskins. No losing records.

Carolina and Giants are equal. I don't care that the Giants won, it was obvious the Panthers dominated that game till the end (WTF was carolina thinking, as if they didnt know Ward was going to run the ball)

The problem I see with your logic, is that in all of those matchups I am 100% certain the NFC East team will win.

But but.. we've dominated the East for years.. lol

It depends on a lot of things dude... it's not that cut-and-dry lol. The NFC South has a 26-3 home record. That's hard to argue with.

That being said I'm going to go sulk because the Yanks signed Tex.

If i may add, Sean Payton isnt my idea of a "Great HC". Hes made some stupid and very questionable calls, like that double reverse in a tampa bay game that cost them last year i believe? Not to mention his shit poor defense even with addition of some good players

Hes done nothing as a head coach so i cant possibly see how u deem him a better coach then Jim Zorn already.

Even in their good season, they were the second seed, the Saints. At a whopping 10-6. They didnt win a playoff game.

Theyve got so much talent that any decent coach could take them to 10-6, so i think calling him a great HC is a bit premature.

Really?????

2008 regular season results

9/14 Redskins 29 - Saints 24 (my personal favorite)
10/26 Cowboys 13 - Buccaneers 9
10/26 Eagles 27 - Falcons 14
12/21 Giants 34 - Panthers 28

IS THAT AN NFC EAST 2008 REGULAR SEASON SWEEP OF THE NFC SOUTH!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

AHEM! as I said, the NFC East is clearly better. They will push the South around in 2009 too. Thanks, and to all a good night!

Yet again I didnt say Payton was a great HC, i just said he was better then Zorn. I know you have it out for me since I didnt think Warner was MVP, but oh well. Its obvious because you've put words in my text on two separate occasions that I didnt say.

And yes we have talent, but not as much as you think, especially in our skill positions. Most of the nation couldn't even tell you who P.Thomas and Lance Moore are...who were our leading "skill" positions players. Do you honestly think you can take a our RB crew, WR crew, and DB's and put them on another team and they would have great stats? Yeah i don't think so. The only reason they do well is because of the system the coaches put in place. Payton makes some bad calls some, some terrible calls and I can't argue that, but plenty of coaches do sometimes. Eventually the players have to be accountable for "false starts" and "personal fouls".

Also, yes the East has a better record against us this year, but it's not over.

You might be right next year. The NFC south is weird. One year, they'll combine for the best record in the NFL and the next year, they'll be middle of the pack record wise, but still put a team in the NFC championship/superbowl like they've done every year except for last year.

I might add. Yes your division won the head to heads, but it doesn't make them a better conference overall as your teams lost to teams we beat. Also, the Giants lost to the Pats last year if you recall in the regular season, but did that matter in the end?

We'll see. If Carolina (hard to grasp them) and Atlanta stink it up in the playoffs, we'll I guess we'll know the East was better this year, which honestly isn't a big deal since my team isnt there anyway.

Your logic absolutely SUCKS.

We beat you, but you still have argument because of other teams we faced? No. Head to head matters most. The South didn't have to play the AFC North, did they? The NFC South played the AFC WEST!!! (Division winner will be 8-8) and the NFC North!! (0-16 Lions, 6 win Packers)

The South didn't play anyone! When they had to play real competition from the East, they got embarrassed! Again, I say good day to YOU sir.
