Lot of people are having problems logging in, zoning into certain areas, or doing certain things... Which is strange. So, I want to try to use this thread for those people that are having problems, as a way to try to fix them.
Ive observed something. All of the people Ive talked to so far (that are R0'ing in certain area's, or by doing certain actions) all had trouble downloading the update for w/e reason. Because of this, Im under the impression that while downloading the update, several files were corrupted... Does this seem plausible?
Edit: Also, as a temporary fix to this problem, the best thing to do atm would be to "Check files" from the POL viewer, before logging in. This may or may not help at all, but its worth a try.
Also
TO be honest, if it WAS their servers, then EVERYONE would be having problems. Thats all there is to it. So what Im thinking is that there also might be a compatibility issue somewhere around there, with the systems people are playing on, and what the update installed onto those systems. Or maybe its just a connection issue between certain ISP's and SE. SE's servers arent to blame if everyone isnt affected.
In your next posts, please post your ISP, what system youre playing on (exactly, i.e. Im playin on a Dell Inspiron E1505,) and if you do/dont use windower (<-- probably pointless, but it might have a bug). Also list your router
possible fixes

To all of you blaming SE for causing this "issue," I have to say you're wrong. For about the last 6 hours or so, I couldn't log into Buburimu, La Theine and Selbina (among other untested locations in Lakshmi). I did the whole rebooting of modem and router, as well as a manual release/renew of the IP from the routers control panel. That didn't work.
Now apparently over on Alla, someone on a college connection got their IP changed, and that fixed everything. So, I tried hooking my modem back up, cycling it, and reconnecting the router. IP would not change from 205.*.*.*, so I tried updating my routers firmware. IP changed to 142.*.*.*, which is Telus's auto-assigned IP for new hardware. Rebooted the modem, router, and bridge to force a new IP. 161.184.*.*.
Turned on the PS2, and I just logged into Buburimu and zoned into Mhuara. Problem solved.
Some of you may remember how dreadfully slow the update a few days ago? I suspect that between North America and Japan, some fairly significant backbone is experiencing hefty data loss or some DNS resolution issue (or something equally screwy), and is still persisting/has gotten worse. Either way, we're about as boned as SE is for getting this issue fixed. It's out of all our hands. So stop being the complainy people that I used to dread getting when I worked for Comcast tech-support please.
tl:dr, If you can change your IP, chances are it'll fix the issue of R0.
