As a public service to the fine people of Quetz, I'd like to start a regulary updated list of people who, for lack of a better term, suck. Sufficient reason must be given for someone to be added, be it poor player ability, bad attitude, or just a general disposition to ruin a good FFXI session.

In order for someone to make it on the list, they must be nominated by one member, seconded by another, and agreed upon by a third. In short, three people (and no one-post alternate accounts, either) have to say someone needs to be on the list.

I personally have a few people I'd like to nominate, but since I'm running this list, I'm going to take myself out of the process and merely put up the names of people you all think need to be here. The only exception will be if I don't think "sufficient reason" is given. If that's the case, I'll be sure to explain why.

And falseys just saying that cause he wants me to go to WoW with all the others that dont have enough staying power to play FFXI and need quick 1month to 60 characters! ><. Falsey you should come back for ToAU and lvl blu or pup with me.
 
hell with it. According to the rules it just has to be agreed upon by a third, ill agree with falsey (who doesnt play) and cythe (who has no concept of what a buffer is) and nominate myself for 1st on the Do not party with list. Call it reverse elitism.

Yeah, Him and Her lead my LS and they are two of the coolest people I know right now in Quetzy. Actually if you're interested in being in a LS that helps each other out, does some fun events and is in need of more members to do bigger events, talk to Him and/or Her in game and you can join ThoseOtherGuys too.
 
Well, I do understand your intent, here, but let's be honest: you're basically setting up a blacklist.

If by some chance it did catch on, it can only end up being dangerous and a little draconian. If by some wild probability such a thing were to be adopted by even a third of the QCDN community (something I genuinely feel to be unlikely), it would be utterly devastating to someone nominated for stupid reasons. Out goes the "innocent until proven guilty" mindset, in comes the "court of mob mentality."

In other words, it should take a lot more than three people with a grudge to earn a spot on this thing. I'd rather such a list didn't exist at all, for a number of reasons ... including the fact that it doesn't allow for the fact that people can improve/change/be impersonated. If you insist, however, it's got to be VERY hard for a name to make it up. Three angry 15-year-olds with too much sugar in their system is NOT adequate "proof."

That is not mentioning, of course, that I'd feel a little pretentious acting as though I had a position of authority (i.e., don't invite THESE people, so sayeth I) when I have none. Who are you or I, after all, to decide that we have the community standing to set up such a thing?

That being said: It's too Old Testament for me, too Salem witch trial, and not enough concession to the rights of the accused. Therefore, I'm going to have to respectfully elect to not participate.

I think this is a pretty good idea but this thread will proly just be used by some people to feud with each other... but its still a good idea to avoid the biggest douche nozzles on this server

LOL that was the first thing that popped into my mind when reading the OP. Reguardless, I prefer the old meathod of peoples names appearing on the FB, then 10+ people say how much of a worthless peice of shit they are, and everyone remembers via that.

Although, just for fun, I'll toss out Yum's name just because he falls asleep in 9/10 PTs. I dunno how he got to 75 on SMN, but his narcalepsy always gives me a laugh. He's a good guy, and always amussing for the first hour, but shortly after that he is usually taking a nap. I asked around, and it seems this isn't just something he does around me, which is good, because I never though I could be that boring.

I elected not to participate in the list itself. I very much feel that I retain the right to explain my reasons for not agreeing with such a thing, in a respectful manner, and include a heartfelt caveat to the person with the idea -- Celvantes.

I thought that this was what I did.
