The use of meat at bird camp...

One thing I always say...

If you don't notice the RDM you know you have a good one : )

Never noticed you the whole party!

There's not really much to notice in a merit party really. I will say I do tend to take notice the bad more often than the good because people take what they expect for granted, but merits are so monotonous, that you won't really take notice of much regardless.

I have a brd too and i only give Ballad2 to the rdms. The only time I give a rdm both ballads is when i use Nightingale. If a rdm cant manage just w/ ballad2 and santion refresh then there is something wrong w/ that rdm lol.

If you have suicidal melees, or melees that aren't subbing nin, having 7-8/tic mp might not be enough. Don't underestimate the usefulness of an extra 200 mp every 10 minutes. That's a nuke that brings down the stupid THF mob that usually ruins chains.

Im very picky about my parties. Any merit pt I make I tell the melee to /nin, except a drg. If they dont have /nin or wont go /nin then I probably wont invite them.
As for the lurkers (thfs mobs) I use gravity, dia3, and dispel (when needed) to help the melees kill it quicker. I'd rather use those low mp spells than nuking them. I dont bring my nuking gear to merit pts, only mp and mnd gear.

At colibris, everyone who is a 2h should be subbing SAM imo, no doubt. It's different at mamools, but I've RDM'd parties with two /SAMs before with only minor MP problems (random deal helps); if your melees don't sink to the extreme, why sacrifice efficiency?

Unless I'm taking my rare pickups, I BRD+RDM+COR+3xDD; my rdm only has 1/tick refresh, fyi.

Seems to me that /sam would actually be -better- for birds since seigan + third eye on the tanking melee can actually absorb an entire pecking flurry + 0-5 attacks afterward (depending on how lucky you are). Granted many melee are too lazy to use seigan..

On mamools, I usually dia3 everything (or 2 depending on mps and how silly the melees are) and gravity all ninjas and thfs anyway. But thieves have the resist gravity job trait, so sometimes it doesn't go though. Dispel should be used on everything as needed too, not just thieves...

Many combinations that can work that involve WAR. My preferred set up

is NIN, WAR/NIN, WAR/NIN BRD, COR, RDM

or

NIN, WAR/SAM, WAR/SAM, BRD, COR, RDM

I feel that having a NIN in the party stops a WAR being a sacrificial voke at start of fights and they can do some very good DD numbers themselves.

guys, all of this arguing is breaking our friendships apart

Thats is true, i just forgot the name of the nin type mobs lol, i know them when i see them lol. Usually its the nins thfs and skoffins i do my extra enfeebling magic

When I tank these parties I go /nin. It helps many times with crowd control depending on the other DDs in party. But I dual wield a joytoy and axe.

I love this Signature
