this could mean anything really, I cant imagine them make it have higher def than already has, and souleater ignores def right.
 
my guess is either they somehow making it strong to souleater/bloodweapon(could make it resist bloodweapon like undead do) or they are lowering it's defense so everyone else can damage it since we all know how SE hates when we just through a bunch of one job at something. I'd bet on them weakening souleater/bloodweapon though since AV is their baby and they wont let it die.

Soul eater doesn't ignore defense, it just adds whatever amount of HP it took off to your damage. Defense never comes into play for the damage added, but soul eater doesn't have an effect on the defense consideration for the normal damage.
 
I would think the resistance would probably be something similar to PUP's steam jacket or schurzen. Damage is reduced over continuous succession of the same attack.
 
It's easily noticeable when using SE/BW on mobs like a Slime/Jelly. They have in inherent physical damage reduction, this reduction also reduces the damage dealt through Souleater's HP damage. In turn, you will lose HP with SE/BW against these monsters, which is now AV's defense I'm presuming.

Yes, now AV SHOULD have higher defense than normal. I'm hoping they use an alternative method to reduce Souleater damage, otherwise ALL other melee will be fucking useless.

I was referring to some people here and a lot of other people from BG who bitched about it.
 
I wouldn't say i was bitching but i did find it unfair, albeit a legit kill and still luck based, the kill is done without the secret, same concept SE nerfing the walls around AV. I guess they saw it as abuse just like /brd in campaign... who knows... hopefully tonight i can go against AV and test out my theories

Zerging is in no way an abuse otherwise they would of corrected King V, DL, Bv2, and Kirin so that they are unzergable. SE is just fucking bitching because we killed AV legitly without their secret way that they should just fucking reveal already because the damn monster has been out for too long to still have stupid secrets.

I didnt say i considered it abuse, i said SE did. Even though we see it as a fair kill doesn't mean SE saw it that way. I understand zergs happen alot on other different NMs but SE doesn't want certain ones zerged. They have they're methods and ways to prevent it and they just did that to AV. We should just be happy that AV wasn't put back to an 18 hour kill, lol.
