Thief's Knife is now Uber Common Drop

Is the scope of your life really to pass "tests" in a virtual world? While it may be a little easy to get now, before it was ridiculous to get. 2 years of camping? Like wtf kind of a life do you have to do something like that? SE is catering to the more casual players, so what? Nothing wrong with it.

sneaky... youre weak, just because you didnt have the desire to camp it dont down play its value and ability. some ppl put lots of time into this nm and I with 84 kills am frustrated that people like you can obtain this knife now..

imo people like you who never put it to a test and would go an bash it deserve to hear this. Dont bash the knife or those who dedicated their time to this just because you refused to put forth the effort. Damage isnt the only part of our role in ffxi, you are a "career thf" you should know this.
 
Sneaky may have not had the desire, but he sure did have the common sense. I'm amazed at how many thieves treat this thing like it's real gold, when it's very much livable without.

I'm glad TK is easier for people to get now. I know that a lot of people wanted this item, and getting it before was insanely stupid in the amount of time required to do so. This update has made a lot of people happy, cheers to SE for making many, many people giggle and smile.

To those crying about this update making TK easier to get now: It's obvious that if you're crying about how much time you spent and that others get it easier you are in serious need of both professional help and a life. Please seek both out immediately. Thank you.

as i said before. egos will be shattered. this fool seems to have one the size of central park.

my GF lvls thf and she thought about this knife but the insane methods of obtaining one put her off. we are casual players and dont feel like giving up our time to obssess over things that you have to sell your soul almost to get. im a SMN that went a year almost after hitting 71 before i got my YYR. i wanted that robe uber badly but i didnt park my ass in ro' meave 24/7 obssessing over it. i took my time and waited for the right time. and it came to me eventually. "the best things come to those who wait" is a saying i beleive in cause its proven true time and time again. those that are getting their knives now. enjoy them. your patience has payed off.

Orry? I beg to differ. THFs like you are weak sauce, my friend.
A) Camping that knife the old way was always a waste of time.
B) I'm only bashing certain people because they can't handle the truth and come here running their mouths.
C) The role of THF you are talking about is most largely taken care of by the job trait Treasure Hunter, and not a MARGINAL increase from a gimp knife that you have to sacrifice much of your life to get....JUST TO BE A WHORE.

I've enjoyed playing skillfully, not whoring myself out to shells that believe THF Knife is the end all be all just so I can get in good with them to get more gear.

Like I said before, THF Knife now takes an appropriate amount of time to obtain, given the effect it has for the individual and groups.

with work, friends outside the game and a family to be part of, some of us can't spend 2 years hunting a single peice of equipment, quite frankly i think all good peices of armour or weaps should either be pop spawns or bcnm's for the people who play a sensible amount and balance a life outside ffxi.

with thf 70 i'm happy that this item has been made easier to obtain, plus thfs arn't just TH bitch's, seen a THF/WAR doing 1200-1500 damage every 30 secs in a party other night, an awesome DD...

just get over it and stop whining that you wasted your time and life hunting this thing... tell me out of those 84 kills did you get it? even if you did who do you think spent there time more wisely?
