Thief's Knife is now Uber Common Drop

Sorry to join so late but didn't they do something with O kote, fuma, and something else?
 
What about the NMs though are they just lottery/timed spawn?

Lol, this thread is full of win... Started out innocent, i was annoyed about the knife, but now all the Kougaiji owning is so awesome.

For me, the old camp was a nice farming opportunity, Dowzer poking hour and you know, fun. I was happy to get the drop too, but it isn't EVERYTHING about the THF job man.

I think this comes down to the fact that most Thief's that had this knife pre-patch can no longer leech themselfs into an HNM shell now that every one can have this piece of equipment. Gone are the days of putting in an HNM application "I HAVE A THIEF'S KNIFE".

I think you are mistaken, I am going to wager its now going to be a mandatory piece of equipment just for consideration.

It would be mandatory now since the Knife is a lot easyer to obtain. Unlike before that haveing a Thief's Knife meant you got a free ride in an HNM shell. Now most Thief's actually have to give something to the shell other than TH3 or TH4.

BTW notice I said Most, I know a lot of great Thief's with and without this knife pre-update.

Gonna say I understand what Kougajji is saying about it was a badge of honor before. I had alot of respect for people who could camp that knife for such long lengths of time. It is not easy, I don't care what anyone says. People who want to undermine the difficulty of being down there for days on end to watch some retard mnk/war come and claim the damn sozu obviusly never have tried their hand at it.

That being said I did not think less of THFs who did not have it, the camp was an incredibly daunting task and who am I to judge them for not wanting to devote the time and effort into what I would say is the ugliest solo camp in the game.

Now though I DO think less of THFs who do not have it. I know the knife is not meant for DD, its a support item. Saying its gimp is like calling BRD gimp because they cant wack a mob for alot. Its not meant to show up on a parse, thats the entire point of the knife. Its about the drops. A THF now who can't be bothered to spend the couple hours down their to improve themselves and those around them is obviusly a lazy self centered retard. Come a month from now the THFs without it will be the ones you know are gimped. There is not a good reason not to be able to get one. The amount the knife helps is arguable, all I know is whenever I was with TH4 my shit dropped in a timely fashion. 1/1 on more then a few things, and I definitly saw Rise's drops go up once we had TH4. Oh sure there where no drop fights where we all would take turns poking fun at Vang but it definitly made a diffrence.
 
Direwolf, I know how hard the knife was to get pre-update. I talked to your brother (Jonason) many times while he was down there camping that dam thing. Its a shame that made him quit amongs other RL issues.

BTW How does your bro feel about the Knife being a Task far easyer than before?

When everyone has it it kinda become a standard. You dun need to meelee with TK for the whole fight anyways. And since after the update you are garanteed to get one if you have some dedication. ^^ so I think every thf in HNM shell should have one.
