This board needs someone who can view it at least once daily to sweep up the trash.

Pup, you do a great job, and we are all greatful for your efforts, but you simply dont have the time to weed out some of the mindlessness that seems to be becoming more rampant.

I once again volunteer for the job.

Anyone willing to sift through this stuff page by page and thread by thread has more intestinal fortitude than myself. You're a brave person willing to devote more time to the board than most of it's posters to the original subject and that alone deserves a tip of the hat.

I just dont see this as a good idea, while I dont think colbwa and his 2 new followers should be allowed to post all this mindless dribble, A mod would have power to delete any flame they felt neccesary and we dont need any sort of mod power here.

No offense pup but I think you just need to get involved just enough to delete any threads made up by colbwa or roofie or his followers that are not here to flame but simply to start trouble.

I'm sorry, but other than upkeep, Pupusa does little/nothing around here. All the WoW posts in the General discussion, all the flames that end up there, his lack of response about me getting a Usergroup entirely. He's just not around enough to be considered the head of this site. I think Sabia is a more suitable head for the website, though not sure if she has the technical knowhow. This forum needs an enforcer more than just a janitor, someone who can lock threads that get out of hand, move threads in the wrong sections to the correct ones, and uphold the many rules of this site that are being ignored by sooooo many.
 
Kon, you are too worried about them abusing power. Pupusa would just have to pick someone who could control themselves and if they abused that power he could remove them, scrapping the idea. We haven't had problems with mods abusing their power anywhere else. A lot of inappropriate stuff has been popping up and we need someone to keep out the banned members. A janitor for the flameboards would be good at the very least.
 
A moderator can lock and move threads and there are currently moderators assigned to all the boards except for the flame board. The flame board should remain un-moderated simple because of the nature of the flame board and the lack of rules that apply to it.

There is a lot of reasonability that goes a long with being a board administrator. While ultimately all decisions about the board are theirs to make, poor decisions can turn a community on its self and destroy a board. There is a finical responsibility that goes along with that. It would not be fair for pup alone to bear that cost.
 
I nominate myself.

If I get the job, I guarantee a police state in 48 hours after I take control. I will create a forum call "WoW" where I will send all the shitty threads, especially all "I'm Leaving" threads. As a matter of fact, I will un-ban Roofie and Colbwa, and limit them to this forum.

After the wave of destruction passes, I will create a secret police force to keep tabs on the proletariat, and users who disagree with the philosophies of Comrade Pupusa will disappear to the “WoW” forum.

Aw vote for ME. I gaurentee to ABUSE my power to the benefit of the board and to the detriment of the board trolls.

Hell I'll abuse it even when there not here to their detriment just for kicks. I would LOVE to destroy thier reputations, I"d brnig back old accounts and post all kinda shit.

Not that they would care anyway. lol, but not like they would have any chance in hell to say anything about it either lol.

Bah... I'd prob be the first to be banned anyway lol.
 
I vote no to everyone. Flameboard doesn't need a mod, if you can't deal with it (the trash), fuck it.
 
To clear things up, I should have used the term "Moderator"

The only cleaning I would do, would be the removal mindless post's
that are of schoolyard, bathroom type calibur.
And I would also (if I had the Admin rights) ban the I.P's of repeat offenders.

My idea of a flame should most likely be game related, and if not game related, at least intellegent.

I just seek an end to the "So and so go fuck your mom for no reason" style of posts. Most agree that this garbage has no place here.

E-penis mentality. In the end, it's all up to a majority consensus and ultimately a decision that can only be made by Pupusa.

I dont promise a car in every garage, or 2 chickens in every pot, but I would make the Flameboard at least just that: a Flameboard.
Not the playground peeing contest it sometimes becomes due to the idiocy of a few.
