Rule # No1cares: And only Keits may refer to himself in the third person. All others will refer to themselves as "asshats" and will then refer to Keits as THE Keits in reverent and humble tones.

Keits...Thank you for the explanation. You are venting. Thats wonderful. (NOT sarcastic btw)...Then the others shouldn't take it to heart . Its a healthy thing to do...Clearly the load you bear most cannot bear themselves...Coddling other peoples feelings even on your liesure time is unthinkable to you as it is to me...I vent in other ways...Not to say your way is wrong. Im beginning to appreciate it.

I think it was more of venting place than saying this person sucks and is noob, blah blah blah...
I other forums ive been too, the flameboard was usually used as a venting board, like when you get really pissed off or something, and we aren't going to reply to them as "Oh, blah, im going to flame you, because this is the flameboard, and i have nothing better to do", we just reply as "Oh, im sorry to hear that, blah, blah, blah"
 
Yes indeed it is a flameboard. and the more I read the more pissed I get . The amount of mediocrity in thinking is astounding. Lemmings to be led. Not evryone in here but a good portion of them...I am making enemies here but I'll get over it. They NEED a good kick in the asshat as it were...Keep up the good work lol.

OK, Keits, in all seriousness, if it's actually that aggravating, why play? Why choose a game or hobby or whatever that brings you all kinds of frustration that you're trying to get away from IRL? I'm not saying you should quit--I am actually curious as to what your reasoning is, or if you're just exaggerating to make a point.

I dont feel this way because of FFXI. I like the game, for the most part, and enjoy myself while playing. Its the player base on our server that makes me feel this way.. we have a high concentration of know-nothings and ass-holes on our server (the types of people that really dont belong playing a game like this). But, if I let other people make me quit, i see that as letting them 'win'. I'd rather tough it out and see if I can reclaim the game as my own, in a sense.

Plus, it gives my wife and I a wonderful timesink to enjoy together. We will probably be playing MMOs for a long time to come.

O...k....That's...well, completely irrelevant to what we were talking about. And you know, there are people on the other end of those characters. That's part of what makes MMORPGs, well, MMORPGs.

FFXI is a game ... the pc's (player's character) who sits behind the keyboard needs to take a chill pill about "the game" and these forums for that matter ...

We PLAY games to relieve stress not create more ... hence take a friggin chill pill ... let's all try to get along instead of always flaming each other ...

It's really getting a tad ridiculous ... some of us come to the boards day after day and all we see is other people cutting someone down ... it's okay to vent ... it's understandable ... but to sit there and just start tearing into each other is just wrong ... don't y'all have something better to do with your lives especially you older ones are married and grownups and should know better eh?

Kay, let me break this down for you. Punctuation is your friend. "...it's not rl people..." actually does mean something different than "it's not rl, people." People tend to respond to what you actually said and not just what you meant.
