This is for all of those people who insist on using equipment macs in Campaign battles. As a healer from outside the party, i can say without reservation, I loathe you all. You don't seem to understand that even though your doing 100 more damage per ws, you are also pulling more hate. In a party this is perfectly legitimate and is definitly the preferred way of things. In campaign however there is a good chance your dead before you can be targetted for healing. And then when a healer does finally find you in the sea of people, you change equipment again and the target is lost. You absolutely deserve every death you get for doing this.

Now i understand that by doing more damage you get more xp, and thats a good arguement. But for the record, how much damage do you do when you Hp bar reads zero.

Since I'm pretty much positive that this will be met with sincere opposition, I have personally decided to refuse healing for any persons i find using equip macs in campaign. So please dun take it personally when my taru dances on your corpse.

Thank you, that is all.

In before the storm of shit approaching you at 100 MPH.

I just Accession Cure the nearby NPC's. That is unless I Cure III.

I've honestly never found this to be a problem >.> It isn't very hard to find people in a crows in Campaign, as there's rarely over 30 people anyway, and not all of them attack the same mob >.O

One day SE will finally realize the annoyance of swapping equipment. I can see them easily fixing this problem by leaving the name of the player as the target, rather than the player themselves.

Besides that, this game is heavily controlled by the keyboard. It's glaringly obvious who has keyboard skills and who utterly lacks them.

Get used to /ma "Cure III" <name>, it's not that hard and sometimes faster than targeting through a mosh pit.

Fixed.

Just let them die.

Then raise them.

Them move on.

It's campaign, afterall. You'll get points by raising them, if they die. If your cure goes through, you'll get points anyway.

There's only so much you can do in an environment where consequences are nonexistant. Not your fault.

I suppose when I'm playing thf, I should always stick to one set of gear since I could risk the chance of being healed during campaign(which is pretty rare honestly) which would make me consider tanking in evasion gear, bringing my own bloody bolts, and swapping to ws in DE.

Really as someone who does campaign a lot, the only chance I get healing magic on me is when I'm getting a raise or when I bring my rdm char to heal myself.

The fact that it's a random factor is why a lot of melee sub their own reraise as well as heals defeats your arguement really lol.

wah wah wah.

Use a <st> macro, stfu, gfto and take that fail you call reasoning with you.

-shrugs-

I'm sorry but can't stand healers that complain about little stuff like that.

Don't complain because someone won't let you be lazy.

preach on!!

If you cant handle curing on whm may i recommend you play mnk...its the only job that is simpler (but then I bet your back in here saying boost is to hard to macro why cant you just auto boost).

Theres a lot of things one can bitch about in campaign, its all exp+ in one form or another tho. You should also bitch at those who intercept mobs at there spawn points well you sit at the stronghold with a thumb up your ass waiting for the mobs to come when they won't, thats the biggest problem imo.

I'm all for tactic of intercepting to maintain zone control better, but SE should really let us see the mobs on the map with a cheap Campaign mob only Wide scan when under the Allied Tag effect, so I can find those fuck shits who drag a monster 5000 feet away to try to solo and proceed to blame them for the delay and possible drop in my exp cap via moving to another zone faster etc.

The idea about names being able to stick is nice idea for curing etc. But what I'd like is the dam /blockaid effect to work in campaign. Don't know how many times the trigger happy mages cure my drg Screwing up my HP trigger. I get a lot of exp from the hp healed, damage taken, and the buff of the Bar spell. I'd like to get the most out of it. Plus Mages need to chill, especially when I'm like 99%/100% hp and like 5 ppl spam Cure 4's on me trying to beat each other. Npcs are better targets and have loads more hp, stick to those.

In the end, no ones happy. I'm not happy. But in the end we all keep doing it anyways cause theres nothing interesting in the world anymore ; ;

Arrogance is bullshit. If you can't deal with equipment swaps, you don't have any necessity to play a healing job.

Maybe you should go play Monk.

Honestly every job that I can think of relies heavily on equip macs, when I'm in campaign /nin I will be swapping to full haste gear for Utsusemi recast and I will not be full timing it because its just a pain in the ass to walk around in dusk.

I will be changing to gear that better suites my ws's so that I can do bigger damage and get more exp.

If you don't like people who change gear then maybe this game isn't for you or you can always just not heal people outside your party in campaign...

WELL EXCUUUUUSE ME, PRINCESS.

So sorry if it's that damn hard to make an <st> cure macro.

You can even take it one step further and make a <stpc> macro if you don't want to heal the NPC's. It's beyond me why you'd cry at people for using macro swaps in this situation. Yeah sucks during events and parties, but it happens deal with it. Much less a campaign where people usually don't get random cures anyways.

You're always going to have the people who cry about not getting healed, then as shown in this thread ,the people crying that they do get healed. And then the healers who cry they can't target someone, and the healers who tell people to screw off because they want to melee. Grin, nod and leave everyone to their own. =)

See, that's the thing I will never even begin to comprehend about Campaign. Everyone has this solo attitude, when it's a GROUP EFFORT. Not five minutes ago I was tanking Vee Qiqa in Meriph (The yagudo with the stupid little elementals) on SAM for about 4 straight minutes. Aside from Sweep, I was the only one being attacked. Now, next to me are two WHMs with clubs just bashing away at it, while I'm pretty much slowly dying. After I die, the stupid thing goes all over the place and starts murdering people left and right.
Now, is that being a team? I was sitting there specifically just tanking it to keep it in one spot, so it can actually die and not take as many people out as possible, you know? Now, the confusing part is: Isn't it in a mage's best interests to heal people who have NM attention in two ways? One being that they get EXP, and two being that it prevents themselves from dying also, if the people who have hate die.
I don't hate mages, mind you. Some of them actually do their job, but the ones who just sit there and auto-attack with SS/blink up just really piss me off. Same thing with the BRDs/CORs/SCHs who sit there the whole time, get buff cap, turn in tags and get new ones the whole time.

cause there is cap on their healing i think, and if they melee they can push their exp cap even higher.

It takes 5000 healed damage to reach cap on healing. If they reach cap, they can turn in tags, get new ones, and start again with no gained EXP on caps.

I like how he thinks the only time this problem matters is campaign of all things. Nothing actually important like endgame or exp; is Beseiged too much for him too?

Franky if people want to do huge ws by swaping gear, let them. They'll be right back up doing the same thing as soon as they get raised, thats part of the fun of campaign no exp loss so really who cares? :)
